• If life was easy, Life would be perfect. The problem is, we all know life isn’t perfect. All I know is, you have to make the most out of life you have. My life isn’t perfect. But I have done things people could only dream about. All I have to say now is, Bring on all you got, I can take it any day!

The sun shined through the clouds, lighting up the little river beneath the bridge. I leaned on the side of the bridge, just watching the water slowly flow, picking up rocks, placing the down a few inches away. It may seem boring but, I in a little town like the one I live in, there isn’t much excitement.

“Hey Miah” Dylan, My best Friend said as he walked up behind me and placed his arms on the ledge next to mine. His Blonde hair covering his Dark Green eyes. He watched the clouds going past, making shapes in the Light blue sky. He has rosy cheeks from the fall breeze. He had a Blue sweater on, Blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

“Hi.” I moaned and I went back to watching the river.

“Are you ok?” He asked looking at me. I nodded my head, But, I lied. I wasn’t alright. My friend Liz just died. So I wasn’t really alright but my parents always taught me to be strong. Dylan nudged my arm, knowing I wasn’t ok and I just looked away.

Dylan was the nicest person you could ever meet. He knew when you weren’t ok and did everything to try to make it better. He knew nothing could make me feel better but time. But he could always make me smile.

“I just can’t get her outa’ my head. It doesn’t matter.” I whispered looking straight down at the river at my reflection. I had Brown ling hair that blew in the wind. Blue eyes with light skin that got red in the cold. My cheeks were red like Dylan’s but I didn’t care. I was used to this weather. Almost Every day is coldish now a days in little Fort Yates, North Dakota. I was 16 years old, In 12th grade. Dylan was 17 in 12 grade. We have all our classes together and spend almost every second of everyday together. We have been friends since I was 3, him 4. I was playing in the woods when I came upon a boy who was lost. He was new to our little town and I showed him the way out. Every since then me and him played in the woods. Still do.

“She is in a better place. She has all she can eat waffles and a great supply of bubbles!” he said happily. I let out a giggle, trying not to laugh too much. I felt guilty to laugh. It was just really hard.

“Oh come on you can do better! BUBBLES!” He screamed at the top of his lungs. I laughed and he laughed next to me. Like we always do. I looked at him and felt a little better. He always made me happy. He has been through hell but he is always so happy. I grinned at him and leaned his back against the bridge.

“At least it wasn’t you.” He smiled, “I don’t know what I would do without my best friend.” He sighed. My heart dropped again and I wrapped my arms around him. He was a few inched bigger than me witch made it easy to lay my head on his shoulder. He hugged me back and we stood there for maybe ten minutes. I started crying, something I did rarely and he just comforted me like he always does.

“Let’s go home.” He said grabbing my hand and we walked back to my house.

As we came to my house I saw my brother rushing angrily out the door. I looked at Dylan who looked back at me than ran up to y brother leaving Dylan behind me. Who eventually walked over to us.

“Corey, What’s wrong?” I asked, standing in front of him so he couldn’t get to his car.

“MOM AND DAD!” he yelled and pushed me aside. I grabbed his arm and he looked at me with rage in his eyes.

“I’m sick of this place! I’m done!” He said trying to get out of my grasp. I just kept hanging on.

“Corey! Please! I need you here!” I begged. He had brown hair just like mine but it was short. He had the same blue eyes, light skin. We were alike but he was 19. He got in a fight with my parents almost every day. He has wanted to leave ever since he turned 16. But I have begged and begged for him to stay. He does and he just gets more and more miserable.

He stopped and sighed. He looked at my parents that were on the porch watching us. Then down at me. He rolled his eyes then brushed past me and walked into the house.

“Meow!” Dylan said making a claw with his hand. I smiled and walked into the house sliding past my parents who were mumbling to each other about what Corey did this time. Dylan followed me in.

I ran up the stairs up to my room and when I got into my room I landed face down on my bed and groaned. I could hear Dylan behind me.

“look on the Brightside. You get to do this again tomorrow!” Dylan laughed. I threw my pillow at him and sat up.

“yes, you just make everything sooooo much better!” I sighed and then grabbed my laptop off my desk.

I went on facebook and typed in what the latest things that were happening.

“Corey tried to leave…again. Liz died. Dylan’s over.”

“wow exiting life!” Sitting down next to me, Dylan grabbed his laptop out of his back pack.

“shut up!” I laughed. I closed the laptop and leaned my head on his shoulder, watching what he is typing.

“She soooo wants me!” He typed. Referring to me, because everybody at school thinks were going out or tease us about it so he leads them on wail I turn them off. It’s annoying. I nudged him and he smiled.

“MIAH!”My friend Jackie slammed open my door, scaring me enough to almost fall of my bed.

Jackie has been my friend since 3rd grade. She had long wavy brown hair and grey eyes. Lightish skin and she is LOUD! Like annoying in a good way. Always talkative and always happy. She is jumpy and hyper and gets in fights with my other friend Cody a lot. She is 16 like me. But acts maybe, 5!

“Miah… Cody is being a jerk again!” she wined and she sat between me and Dylan.

    “What this time?” I asked.

“Cody—“ she started then cody walked in.

“Don’t even blame it on me!” he yelled at her sitting on the other side of Dylan.

“He says girls are all the drama!” Jackie stood up and grabbed her camera out of her backpack and cleared a spot on my desk for it to be set up.

Cody had Medium brown hair. Light green eyes and medium skin. He was a star athlete and great at driving Jackie crazy. He is smart enough to get B’s and C’s and he is 17 like Dylan. He is very independent, only hangs out with Jackie, Corey, Dylan and I.

Cody and Jackie started Differences Wars. A little Show where him and Jackie fight over two opposite things that they can support their beliefs. For example today. Cody believes Girls are all the drama, and Jackie disagrees. They have other people settle it. So they don’t argue about it forever.

“Cody, Get the chairs…” Jackie said aiming the camera at a clear spot in my small room.

“ok Drama Queen!” Cody teased. I sat back, leaning against my wall and Dylan did too. We watched them set up my room just right.

Jackie started the camera and jumped into her seat.

“Hey guys..Long time no talk!” Cody started.

“Yea…One day” I couldn’t help but say. Dylan laughed but Cody looked angrily at me. I put up my hands as a sign of defeat and he went on talking.

“Jackie Thinks that girls aren’t the drama! I believe they are. Now our reasons are----“ And then Corey entered my room.

“out.” Corey said as he stepped in front of the camera. He just wanted to talk to me. But of Corse, Jackie and Cody refused. They started arguing and that went well.

“why don’t you make us!” Jackie yelled.

    “My house!” Corey yelled back.

“My show!” Cody and Jackie yelled together.

    “My sister!”

    “My friend!”

    “MY ROOM!” I pointed out.

“Stay out of it!” all three of them yelled. I quickly shut up and looked at Dylan. He shrugged his shoulders and continued to watch.

Then after 30 seconds of fighting they all turned to me again and yelled,

“Jerimiah! Get um out!” Jerimiah is my real name. Boys name, but it doesn’t matter now.

“Didn’t you just want me to stay out of it?” I asked/ they all stepped forward angrily and then started bickering again. I looked at Dylan again and we got up and grabbed the camera.

“well sorry for the arguing from my brother and friends.” I began. “But we are just going to cut it nice and sweet. Girls, You are the drama. But..What causes the drama?” I asked. Dylan next to me came into the picture,

“Boys are!” he said happily, being proud of his boyness. “Either boys or friends. Boys, More than one girl can like you and they get in fights over that. Or you break a girl’s heart. There will be hell. It’s a fact.” He sighed.

“But then there is friends!” I jumped in, “If friends get in fights, they want the other person to suffer. And back to the boys, if your friend steals your boyfriend, Ohhh world war three is coming around. Not that it has ever happened to me, I just know these things.” I smiled. I have had boyfriends but my friends wouldn’t steal them away. They are too awesome.

“ So we know that last week they made a show where you guys can send in questions about Me and Miah. They added pictures of us and they interviewed us. We are best friends. You guys sent in questions and I and Miah are going to answer three.” Dylan said and he brought out a box full of letters. We would randomly select them.

All of this was happening with the other three fighting in the background. It was pretty funny.

“Ok first question!” I said pulling out a letter. “OK! This is from a girl named, Annabel.

    Dear Dylan and Miah,

Are you guys a couple? Will you ever be a couple? Dylan You should ask Miah out. Cute couple! If you two won’t go out, would you ever think about hanging with a girl from Bismark, North Dakota?”

I looked at Dylan and smiled.

“Ok first of all. We aren’t a couple!” I yelled. “Second, He is my bestest friend. I wouldn’t ever go out with him!”

“Oww!” Dylan said. “Thanks….” He said sarcastically. “and would I ever date you. No. Why? Because I live in a little town, you live in a big town. Away from mine. So… chances are, we will never meet! Sorry!” He smiled and reached in for another letter.

“What are you guys doing?” Cody asked as Corey gave up and sat on my bed next to me, staying away from where the camera could see him.

“You guys seemed busy.” I smiled and Dylan opened another letter. On the other side of the room, Cody and Jackie sat happily, with pride, knowing that they won the fight ageist Corey. Even though he wasn’t leaving the room, he wouldn’t make them.

“Ok, this is From Eric. He sends,

    Dear Dylan,

You talked about your mom and new baby sister. But where is your dad? If you lost your dad, it is ok. I lost mine too!”

Dylan’s face got sad and I felt really bad.

“None of your business!” I said and Dylan placed his arm on my shoulder and smiled.

“If you people must know… My father left me and my Mother when I was 8. The new baby is my mom’s boyfriends. It doesn’t matter. I hate that guy anyway. Luckily I have a few great friends who have helped me.” Dylan smile didn’t fade but got bigger as he looked around the room at us four. “next?”

I reached in for another question.

    “This is from Jessy!

    Dear Jerimiah and Dylan,

Dylan, why are you so happy? And how did you and Miah become friends?

Jerimiah, what’s with the name? And how is Corey?? I haven’t seen him since the 5th episode.

Well Jessy, Dylan is happy because that is who he is! Right?” I asked and Dylan nodded. “the friend thing is… Dylan couldn’t find his way through a little town and I showed him the way. Me. My name. Well, my parents wanted a boy and when I was a girl they had a bunch of boy stuff and they said, what the hey, Jerimiah can be a girls name. Which it can’t, but everyone calls me Miah instead so it doesn’t matter. And Corey. We will let him answer that. Corey?” I pointed the camera at him and he gave a small wave. He rolled his eyes and looked away from the camera.

“Ok. To shorten it up. We will open one more card.” I said and Dylan reached into the box. “It says,

    Dear Dylan and Miah,

Say one embarrassing thing about yourselves.” I looked at Dylan and laughed.

“Ok,” Dylan went first. “I still sleep with a night light and I sleep with a little Alice in wonderland Cat.” Dylan laughed.

“Which I think is cute!” I smiled. “I snore really, really loud!” I honestly said.

    “She does!” Corey mumbled.

“And I love it!” Dylan couldn’t stop laughing. Why, I don’t know, It’s a him thing.

“Well that’s all. Seya!” And I shut off the camera. Dylan was on the floor by now making me laugh and soon I was on the floor too. Eventually everyone was laughing and having a great time.
