Don't look... -fails-
???: Flint was taken aback by her friend's cooking. The food spread on the table, just enough for two. "Cole..." she started stumbling for things to say. "The food looks great. Did you make this?" He stared at her with a frown. "No, Flint, I just stood over a hot stove doing nothing. I haven't any idea how the food got there." Cole replied rolling his eyes and sighing. She smiled at him. "I'm sorry." she apologized. He pulled a chair for her to sit in then, calmly, sat himself down in front of her. "What a gentleman." she started to joke. Cole aknowledged that with a small smirk. For a while there was an awkward silence. Finally Flint broke the silence between them. "About your room..." she started. He looked up at her quickly with a dark blank stare. "Don't touch it." he commanded. She nodded already knowing. "I'm not going to. I was thinking of hiding that whole entire wing. It'll be...a place for you and me." she explained looking straight at his face searching for his emotions. He looked down for a second. "It sounds good." His eyes were still dark and dull with the pain he had to suffer in that wing. Curious, Flint asked him why he wouldn't want it changed. He took a bite out of his barely touched food casually, not wanting to say anything at first. He sighed, "I just can't forget it; I'm binded to it." Cole stopped eating and started to play with his necklace. Flint was about to ask more but he looked up at her with pleading eyes that told her not to ask. "I'm sorry." she muttured embarrassed. He nodded and got up taking his somehow empty plate to the sink. Flint finished her food quickly to follow him. She stared as he washed his dish. Amazed how there was no sign he cooked. He dried it and put it back in the cabinate. "Very neat there Cole." she said out of nowhere. He actually jumped in shock. She guessed he was still thinking about the haunting past he had to live. She washed her plate, dried it, and put it away. Cole put on his oversized black jacket and threw the hood over his head. It was raining outside. "I should go now." he desided. "It's pouring out there...stay the night. I have a guest bedroom. He looked out of the window at the sky. "I can't." he said a little fearful. He trudged towards the door and stopped to look over his shoulder. "G'night Flint." his words sounded almost...loving. Cole stepped out with the wind blowing the door shut. She stared at the door. Flint blinked twice as images of him flashed threw her mind. She shook her head and went off to sleep.
