???: "This place is...so beautiful." she said as she stared at the wonder. Cole put his hands in his pocket and shrugged it off. "I guess..." he answered calmly. Flint turned and looked at him. "How did you find it?" Flint curiously asked. He smirked and sat down on a rock close to the edge. Looking back at her he motioned her to come sit. She walked forward. "When I had to run away..." he started. His eyes darkened and he held on to his necklace tightly as if it would keep him from breaking down. "I had ran endlessly deeper into the forest. I started to tire and knew it won't be long until I sealed my fate." Flint stared at him calmly and interested. "I fell onto the ground struggling to get up and run. I couldn't...I started crawling to save my life and just as I looked up, I saw it's beauty staring back at me. The lake shone brilliantly with radiant colors. I knew then that it was a sign, a sign that I would carry on." He looked at her and after a while Flint replied. "Wow...Cole, that was...amazing. I loved it." Cole looked deep into her eyes and almost emotionless pulled her close to him. "It was amazing...wasn't it." He held her in his arms. She blushed until he pulled away. Speechless she watched him get up and hold out a hand to her. "Come, this is too deep in the forest; you could get attacked by coyotes." Together they walked hand in hand and side to side. She glanced at him momentarily but Cole continued his gaze on his path. "It'll rain soon." Flint announced looking up at the cloudy ominous sky. "Then let us make haste. Flint, hold on to me." he ordered. Obediently but curious she did as instructed. He started to run quickly unfurling wings on his back a little to glide in the wind and pick up speed. Swiftly and quick he maneuvered through the trees and got to the clearing of the forest entrance. From there he put her down and they both ran to her house. The rain came down not even halfway there. Finally they arrived at her house drenched and laughing. "That was fun!" Flint exclaimed breathlessly. Cole smirked and nodded. For a moment they stared silently at each other. He looked outside. "I have to go." he said gloomily. "Why?! It's pouring out there!" Flint retorted. He looked down and pulled her close to him. Their bodies touched and he kissed her. She stood completely still. Her face turned slightly red, and she watched her dark friend leave out the front door.
