• I sit in my bed. Quiet as it can be, all I can hear are my fingers tapping on my keys.
Now I heard a footstep the most. What is it? My parents, the cat, or a mysterious ghost.
My eyes widened as I gripped onto my sheets. My heart beats and beats.
Next I hear a knock quiet as it can be. Then I hear more, maybe three.
I shake my head and think not to worry, it's just the outside winter flurry.
Next I hear a faint squawk, it HAS to be a nighthawk.
All I see is a big flash. And then a crash.

I woke up in an unfamiliar room, where am I? It looks like an old-style bedroom.
A girl's voice screams from the other side of the wall. Like she was in a brawl.
She ran into the bedroom looking at me. She was hurt horribly.
She cried as she pleaded for me to help her. The man who wanted her dead was her father.
I agreed as we snuck out the door. We saw that there was a heavy downpour.
We ran through the village to the local tavern. I talked with her in concern.
A man walked in and grabbed her wrist. I tried throwing a chair but I missed.
He looked at me as her dropped her. We ran out as we had to go farther.

We were finally safe as we looked around. He was in a showdown.
We listen to shooting until it stopped. Her father's clothes were stained in a dark red.
We hugged each other tight. It was about the end of her fight.

I woke up in a hospital bed. The bar above me hit my head.
I screamed as all the nurses rushed in. I asked them where I have been.
I was unconscious when all of a sudden the light fell on me. The whole thin was just a dream that would turn into a memory.

A girl on the other bed looked at me, just like the girl in the dream. We smiled as we let out a joyful scream.

We laughed as we embraced. That memory will never be erased.
