• Robot of miracle~

Darkness surrounded her. Only the silent patter of a keyboard she heard. She opened her eyes slowly to the blank room. A scientist in a white coat stood in front of her. He had yellow spiky hair with a small ponytail. “Hello, rin” he spoke with a bright smile. “You are a miracle” Rin looked at the scientist with no expression at all. The scientist held out his hand to rin. For a few moments she looked only in the scientist eyes, and then looked down at the hand. The scientist realized that she didn’t know what that was for so he put his hand back down “do you know who I am?” rin looked back up and said “yes, you are len, my professor.” Len laughed in amusement. “You don’t have to call me professor” rin was a blue eyed girl with yellow hair up to her shoulder. And a bow was placed at the top of her head. She had a long white t-shirt with black leg warmers and arm warmers.

Len patted her head and ruffled her hair. She still yet had no expression. Len directed her out of that room to a larger room that had a nice new orange couch, wooden flooring, and green walls. “Well first off, let’s play a game!” Len seemed really happy having rin around. Len got into a closet and got out a box that said ‘monopoly’ “here! Let’s play this!” Len put the box on the ground and sat down. Shortly after rin sat down at the other side of the game board.

“What do you want to be?” he held out a whole bunch of metal pieces out. There was a shoe, a robot, a car, and some more random pieces. She pointed her index finger at the robot piece. “Okay then!” he put the robot piece down and a car he rolled a die and moved 5 spaces forward. Then gave the die to rin. She looked at the die for a long period of time then Len explained “you have to roll the die” rin nodded then dropped the die on the board. She moved her robot piece 4 boxes ahead. “Pick up a card and read what it says” rin nodded then picked up a card. “There is no traffic, move ahead 3 spaces” rin had a Japanese accent to her voice that was soft. She moved her piece 3 spaces.

They played the game until Len went bankrupt “damn… great job rin!” he said with another large smile. She didnt do anything other than stare at Len. Len gave a questioning face to rin then put his hands on her chest. He heard no heartbeat at all. He frowned for a few moments then said “I’m going to go do some work for while. Entertain yourself with TV or something while I’m there okay?”Len waved bye then left off to the blank room that she was in before. She looked around at the peaceful home and looked outside the house. There was an empty field. Then she saw a tree in a pot. She took the pot out to the middle of the field, took a shovel, and started digging. She dug enough and put the tree in the ground.

Time passed and Len grew old. He grew wrinkles and now he started typing slowly onto his computer. Rin would take care of him now by bringing him tea and his meds. “It’s finished” he said in a crackly voice. He looked up to Rin with a smile. “Do not open the file. It may be too much for you Rin.” Rin didn’t understand what he was talking about but she mealy nodded. Len looked outside, to see that little plant that grew in the pot turned into a large sakura tree. Len sighed then sat on a rocking chair. Rin stayed in the blank room for hundreds of years, doing nothing. Finally she walked outside of the room to see the house rotting. A pillar fell, moss was growing between the cracks of wood in the floor, and she saw lens body lying still on the rocking chair. His ribs shown and his head was tilted forward. She looked at Len for moments then went back to the blank room. She though, sorry Len, but I’m going to download the file you told me not to. She put a plug into her microphone build into her and then downloaded the file she knew nothing about. All at once she started bursting out crying, and a heat started beating. She fell down from sorrow and understanding why Len did these things, just for her. Made her learn how to sing, played games, learned how to talk, was all for her. She looked back at the dead body and started crying some more. She got up and started singing her heart out.

She would go out to the world, sing on the streets, being kind to everyone who greeted her. But one day the heart was too much for rin to stand. The machine shortened and was never able to move again. But at the last moment she went under the large sakura tree and had a beautiful smile

And she looked, really looked like, an angel

    “Thank you, Len”
