• CHAPTER 79 - BABYSITTING SERVICE

Oh, the joys of babysitting your friends' baby with your boyfriend.

"You know where the materials and stuff are, right?" Matsuda asked me.

    I nodded, "Yep,"

    "And the breast milk?"

    "Yep,"

"Be sure to heat it up just a little bit,"

I rolled my eyes and waved my hand, "Of course,"

Matsuda smiled while generously helping Orihime into her coat, "Be sure that Kai assists you. He tends to shy away from children."

I giggled at the thought of Kai hiding in a corner, trying to escape a child, "Okay,"

"Toshihiro sleeps most of the time, so you won't have much to worry about,"

"You two can have more time to get feisty," Kira walked past me, laughing.

I punched Kira's arm and shook my hand as it started throbbing. I frowned once I realized I hadn't affected Kira in the slightest bit, despite that he was half human. I looked around and frowned again.

    "Kira's going with you?"

Matsuda nodded, "Yes, he is," his face fell a little. "Did we not tell you?"

    I shook my head, "No,"

"So you and Kai will be all alone," Kira teased, lightly pinching my cheek.

I grabbed a lock of Kira's hair and pulled as hard as I could, "Burn in Hell,"

Kira stood up after I let go of his hair and he laughed. Matsuda pat my shoulder, "We will be a few hours because Miku's parents will be there too. And it will take us a while to get Miku everywhere, hoping she's feeling better."

I turned around and Takeuchi walked into the hallway, pushing Miku in her wheelchair. She was nearly sitting up straight and she seemed a little uncomfortable. Her lower back was supported by many pillows and was cradling Toshihiro in her arms. Kai followed in behind them and tucked his hands in his pockets.

"Here," Miku smiled and slightly extended the sleeping Toshihiro towards me. "I just got him to sleep so you should be okay for a while."

I carefully took Toshihiro in my arms, possessing the feeling once again to run off with the adorable little halfling, "Okay, thank you,"

"We're off," Matsuda called, helping Orihime out the door. "Have a good night."

"Clean up your mess when you're done," Takeuchi winked and nudged Kai with his elbow.

Kai did my job for me and punched Takeuchi's head, still not affecting him. Takeuchi and Kira left out the front door in booming laughter and shut the door behind them. Kai locked the door and turned back around, tucking his hands in his pockets once again and we stood in silence for a long time.

"You know, you'll have to contribute to helping Toshihiro too," I lectured. "And that includes having to hold him."

    Kai sighed, "Fine,"

We paused for another moment, "Um, I'll put him in his crib since he's sleeping,"

I made my way to Takeuchi's bedroom and gently placed Toshihiro in his crib. I spotted the mini wheels on the bottom of the crib and I ended up rolling it out into the living room. I ran upstairs quickly--leaving Kai to be in the same room as Toshihiro momentarily--and dressed into sweat pants and a camisole. I rushed back downstairs and frowned when I noticed Kai's absence from the room.

    "Butthead," I sighed.

I stood at a spot where there wasn't much furniture around me and I could move about freely within a five-feet radius. I stood on my right leg and propped my left foot against my right thigh. I rose my arms and locked my hands together above my head and closed my eyes and breathed deeply. I hadn't done yoga in so long.

I was all relaxed and calmed down until a pair of rough and frozen hands reposed against both sides of my waist. I snapped my eyes open and gasped at the cold. I heard a teasing chuckled in my ear and I knew it had to be Kai. I continued to stand as I was in my tree pose and tried to ignore him. He only chuckled again and kissed the side of my neck, causing me to wobble a little. I bit my lip to keep from yelling at him and tried concentrating again. It's hard to concentrate when there's a dumbass breathing down your neck.

"That was a tad rude," Kai chuckled.

I froze where I was and quit breathing for a second. That's exactly what that Vampire in my last nightglare said before he broke my ribs. I released myself from my pose and released my breath. Kai turned me around and picked me up by wrapping his arms around my waist. He walked over to the middle of the living room and we landed on a couch adjacent to the fire place. He planted a wet kiss right on my lips while smiling. I took a second to relax and I kissed him back. He kissed the tip of my nose and moved down to my neck, still keeping his arms around my waist.

    "Go ahead," I sighed.

Before Kai said anything, he slowly delved into my neck and held me a little closer. I knew that Kai never used a kiss as an excuse to get to my neck. We would always kiss and his thirst would incline from being so close to where my blood flows heaviest. He's sometimes unconscious about his authority until it's a little too late. It's not like I mind him biting me...it entices me.

"You interrupted my yoga," I giggled as I ran my fingers through his hair.

Kai pulled away after a short while, kissing my bloody neck before doing so. He looked down at me while wiping his mouth off and I sighed. Before we could do anything else, Toshihiro interrupted our moment by deciding to cry. I shot upright out of surprise and accidentally knocked my head into Kai's face, nearly fracturing my skull. Kai laughed and I scrambled off of the couch and rubbed my head as I stood at Toshihiro's crib. I pulled him out and figured he was only hungry since he didn't smell like crap.

I traveled to the kitchen and pulled the bottled breast milk out of the fridge. I frowned and turned around as Kai walked into the kitchen. I handed the bottle to him, "You warm this up while I calm him down,"

Kai frowned, "Fine. Just don't shove your finger in his mouth again." he chuckled.

I beamed at him and sat at the breakfast bar while Kai found a way to warm up the milk. I started freaking out after thirty seconds of being unable to calm down Toshihiro. I figured he'd need something to eat too so I searched the cabinets and found no baby food. I opened one cupboard and there was a little pink sticky note with "Takeuchi's Snacks (DON'T TOUCH!!!)" written on it. I took the bag down and laughed after seeing they were dog treats. I paused and looked at the treats, then Toshihiro and vice versa. I opened the dog treats with one hand and held a treat in front of Toshihiro's face, feeling that I'd regret feeding him this. Toshihiro sniffed it a little bit and after a few seconds, he took it in his little hands and started nibbling on the barbecue dog treat. I started laughing uncontrollably and Kai only rolled his eyes. I fed Toshihiro another treat after his first one and I knew that Takeuchi's "treat senses" were probably tingling.

"Here," Kai handed me the milk as soon as Toshihiro finished his third treat.

I grabbed the bottle and fed Toshihiro, the house flooding with silence once more. I looked down at Toshihiro in awe as he continued to drink. His eyes were cross-eyed from staring at the bottle while drinking. It was the cutest thing. I wanted him to melt into my arms and be my own. Kai chuckled at me and I blushed heavily, figuring he probably thought of that in the wrong way. Toshihiro finished his feeding and immediately fell back asleep. I put him back in his crib and walked into the bathroom downstairs to let Kai fix my bite wound. We went back into the kitchen and Kai set a pot of water on the stove to boil and make us some simple rice with whatever we would want in it. He sat down on a chair at the table in the kitchen and I openly sat on his lap, facing sideways. I wrapped my arms loosely around his neck and pressed my forehead against his.

"This is easier than I thought," I smiled.

    "Yeah," Kai smiled back.

I frowned at him, "What do you mean? All you did was heat up the milk."

Kai shrugged, "That's tough work," he joked.

    "Whatever," I shrugged.

Kai wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my nose lightly. I closed my eyes and sighed, "How close of a relationship do you and Kira have?"

Kai thought for a moment and smiled weakly, "A much closer relationship than what we've portrayed the first few months you were here,"

"That's good," I smiled. "You and him are great brothers."

"Yeah, he's pretty cool," Kai shrugged.

"Just remember that he won't always be around," I smiled sentimentally. "You'll miss him."

Kai burrowed his eyebrows together, "What got you into this conversation?"

I shrugged and pressed my forehead against his, "Just promise me that you won't put anyone or anything in front of Kira. He's your only family left."

"Except for you," Kai pointed out.

I shook my head, "Nope. It doesn't work that way."

"With me it does," Kai smiled lightly.

I shook my head again, "No, you just don't know that Kira is your favorite,"

    Kai sighed, "Whatever,"

I tangled one hand in his hair and kissed his neck. Kai chuckled, "Try giving me a hickey," he stared at me and I blushed. "I dare you."

My face turned redder and I looked away, "Um, I-I don't know h-how,"

"Sure you don't," Kai rolled his eyes. "Just try it."

    "It'll hurt,"

    "No it won't," Kai chuckled.

"No, it will hurt me," I giggled.

    "Try it,"

I pursed my lips and took a deep breath. I lowered my lips to his neck and kissed his neck lightly. I kissed his neck a few more times and gripped his hair lightly. I took another breath and opened my mouth wide and bit his neck. Kai laughed and I pulled away and blushed more.

"You're not supposed to stick my whole neck in your mouth," Kai smiled widely.

"Th-then what am I supposed to do??"

"Just remember back at Christmas when I did it," Kai reminded me.

I thought hard and continued to blush. I prepared myself and lowered my lips to his neck again and I opened my mouth only a little this time. I pressed my teeth against his skin and started sucking lightly as he did that only time. My face was on fire and his icy skin wasn't helping any. I did the best I could for about a minute and when I pulled away, my breath was taken from me; I actually left a mark!!

"Holy crap!" I exclaimed. "I left a mark!"

Kai chuckled, "Good job," he congratulated, although he knew it would disappear within another five minutes. "It will be my turn later." he winked at me.

I looked down and blushed but I smiled in victory. I gave out my first hickey and failed miserably in the first few seconds. This was going to be a long night, but one I was looking forward to with both Toshihiro and Kai; my unbiological nephew and my fiancée.
