maure love: I keep doing tricks on my board when I see Daniel in the ocean too. I'm soo excited! I call out, 'DANIEL!! DANIEL!!" He turns around and waves at me. I swim over to him, board in hand. I give him a big hug. I love seeing him.
"Matt": I feel something cold hit my face. I jump up, "Whoa, what?" Stephanie laughs, "You told me to wake you up in ten minutes," she replies. I lick the ice cream off my lips. "That’s good," I reply.
maure love: Daniel and I talk for a while and then we start doing tricks together, like when I was younger. It feels like he's still my big brother.
"Matt": "I'll be back, I'm going to get some ice cream," I tell Stephanie, "Want anything?" She looks at me and replies, "No, I'm good." I get up and head over to the snake bar.
maure love: "Hey Maureen, I actually have to go now." Daniel says. I'm sad but he gives me a big hug.
"Matt": I come back with ice cream. I sit back down and start to eat it. I had Stephanie the shovel and say, "You always were better than me at sand-crafting." She laughs and takes the shovel. She plays around in the sand and builds a beautiful sand city.
maure love: I say my good-byes to Daniel and go back to my friends. I make sure not to step on Stephanie's city. I sit down next to Matt and poke his hand, being bored.
Matt": "Welcome back Maureen," I say smiling, "Having fun?"
maure love: I smile and say, "Yeah I got to see my big brother." I miss him so much. "How about you two?"
"Matt": "I'm fine," I reply. "I'm fine too," Stephanie answered. I look up to see where the sun is. "I think we got another hour left." I state
maure love: I lay down. I want Matt to hold my hand like we did when we were five. That probably won't happen though. I wonder if he still has feelings for me. "It's so lovely here." I say.
"Matt": "Yeah," I reply. "You want to stay for the sun set, right?" I ask Maureen. I know I wanted to, just like when we where kids.
maure love: This brings back memories, "I'd love to. I remember my Mom used to drive us to the beach every other weekend and we'd play for hours." I sit back up and rest my head on his shoulder.
"Matt": I put my arm around Maureen. "That’s good, I wanted to also," I state as I hug Maureen.
maure love: I hug Matt back. Stephanie looks over at us and smiles, "I knew something would happen with you two soon." I can see Matt blush and so do I.
"Matt": I laugh, "Yeah, I guess it was unavoidable." I look into Maureen's eyes and smile; I then watch the sun begin to set.
maure love: I also laugh and move my hand onto his. The sun starts to set and we all are in awe at the beautiful colors.
"Matt": I squeeze Maureen's hand gently as I watch the sunset, remembering all the great memories.
maure love: I'm smiling so hard, I can't help it. I think of all that us three have been through in these last few days, and years with Matt. I really feel deeply for Matt and don't want the day to end. The sun finally sets and we pack up all our stuff. I let Stephanie sit in the front because she whispered to me that she isn't feeling well again. I lie down in the back and fall asleep.
"Matt": On the way home before the rest area, I ask Stephanie, "How are you doing, do we need to stop here?" She thinks for a little, "Yeah, probably, better same than sorry," she said. I pull into the rest area.
maure love: The car stops and I sit up because I think we're home, "Hey Matty." I look for Stephanie, where is she? She's probably in the bathroom.
"Matt": "She's in the bathroom again," I reply, "Sleep well?"
maure love: I stretch my arms and say, 'Yeah, do you want me to drive? You've been driving us every where." I actually want to drive so I finish with a, "Please?"
"Matt": "Alright, I'm tired too," I get out and we switch seats, I lie down and fall asleep.
maure love: I knew he was tired. I see Stephanie coming back, she looks a little pale, and she probably threw up again. She sits in the passenger seat and I start to drive home. The ride is quiet and uneventful. We're soon home and I go and wake Matt up. Before I do that I give Stephanie the keys t his house so she can go lay down. I crawl in the back seat and sit on his stomach. "Wake up Matt."
"Matt": "Ugh," I said, "Hello, I guess we're home?" I said. "You'd mind getting off?" I ask laughing.
maure love: I start laughing and say, "I do mind getting off. I like being by you." With that I kiss him on the cheek.
"Matt": "And I like being with you," I say as I kiss her back on the cheek.
maure love: Stephanie walks out the door and sees him kiss me. "Hey you two! Do that somewhere private!" She yells laughing. I get off Matt and walk inside. My phone goes off and it's my Mom. I don't answer it because she might ruin my day. I sit down on the couch and start to shiver. I'm still in my wet bikini. "I'm gonna go change into my clothes." I say to them.
"Matt": "Alright," I reply as I get to thinking about who gets the bed. I don't want the bed because I like the couches.
maure love: I go into his room, I practically live there, and change into my skirt and American eagle top. I put my hair up in pigtails and put on some make-up. I come back out to see Stephanie waiting for me.
"Matt": By time Maureen comes back down I'm already asleep on the couch.
maure love: He's always sleeping, such a tired young man. I get a blanket for him and lay down next to him. I soon fall asleep too.
"Matt": I wake up around 6. Maureen is lying next to me pinning me on the couch, so I probably can't move without waking her. So I just lay there watching her sleep.
maure love: I had a very nice dream last night, I was at Disney world and I got to be tinker bell in the parade. I've always loved tinker bell. My eyelids flutter open and I see Matt smiling at me. "Morning." I say quietly.
"Matt": "Good morning, Maureen," I begin, "Sleep well?"
maure love: "I had a great nights sleep." I say, I seem to have him pinned down, kind of a strange position. "How about you?" I ask, moving so I don't squish him.
"Matt": "I slept good, but I couldn't start the coffee," I replied. I look over to the other couch, Stephanie is still sleeping.
maure love: "Why not?" I ask. I notice Stephanie is still asleep. "What time is it?"
"Matt": "I think it’s about 6:15," I replied, "I couldn't start the coffee without waking you."
maure love: "That early? I'm sorry, you could have woken me up. I wouldn't have minded." I say smiling and getting up.
"Matt": "Nah, I wouldn't want to disturb you," I say as I get up and head into the kitchen.
maure love: I walk into the kitchen too and ask, "What do you want for breakfast?"
"Matt": I think about this, but I can't think of anything. "I have no idea," I reply.
maure love: "How about hash browns, eggs, and bacon?" I know that he must like something I mentioned.
"Matt": "I think I'll have hashbrowns," I reply after giving it much thought.
maure love: "Okay, you want anything else with that?" I ask starting to fix his breakfast. I should probally wake up Stephanie and see what she wants. The same moment I think it she gets up and walks into the kitchen. "Are you making breakfast Maureen?" She asks eyes wide. "Yeah I'll make you something too." I say. I remember her favorite breakfast from when she slept over about a year ago.
"Matt": "That saves me a trip," I state while laughing. "How'd you sleep Stephanie?" Dumb question, she always sleeps great. "I slept great," she replied. Yep, I was right.
maure love: I finish making everyone's breakfast but my own. I grab a pop tart out of the cabinet and chow down. I hope they like it.
"Matt": "These are great!" I stated. "Yummy!" Stephanie eyes brighten when she tastes the food, "Wow, you remember my favorite!" she said.
maure love: I laugh at this and say, "You know me, I always remember stuff." I watch as Stephanie eat her whole plate in about five minutes. She looks ready to eplode. I start laughing as she gets up and walks to the couch looking extremely full.
"Matt": "That girl can eat," I stated as I finished my hashbrowns. "These were wounderful."
maure love: I smile and say. "A thank you." I finish my poptart and say, "Well whoever makes those are pure genous."
"Matt": "Hahaha, yeah thats true," I replied. I wish I could invent something great. I smile over my thought.
maure love: "Whatcha smiling at?" I ask.
"Matt": "I was just thinking that I wanna invent some famous food," I reply laughing. "Without burning myself."
maure love: I burst out laughing, 'You could invent pastries that float in mid-air." I say still laughing.
"Matt" (11:07:53 PM): "Well I don't know about that," I reply, "That would be alittle hard to invent."
maure love (11:09:02 PM): I contimplate this and say, "That's true. Gosh, I haven't been home in a while, maybe I'll stop by today."
"Matt" (11:10:30 PM): "You probably should," I stated, "but would you mind if I came with you?" I hope that Maureen's dad is sober.
maure love (11:12:35 PM): I don't really want him to come but I give in and say, "Sure Matt, I made a promise and I intend to keep it." I sigh at start to do dishes. I start day dreaming about Matt and I don't realize how hot the water gets.
"Matt" (11:14:58 PM): "Hey, I'll help you with the ...," I notice the water steaming. "Umm, Maureen," I began, "that water looks very hot."
maure love (11:16:58 PM): I'm still daydreaming when the heat of the water sets in, "OW!" I yelp. Good thing it only touched my finger tips, I put them in my mouth and turn the water to cold, immediatly putting them under. Tears for at the sides of my eyes.
"Matt" (11:18:39 PM): "Maureen!" I yell, "Are you okay?" I jump up and rush over to her. Stephanie come running in too, "What happened?" She asks.
maure love (11:19:54 PM): "Mhm. Just burned the tips of my fingers." I mumble. I sigh, why do these things happen? I brush away the tears with my hand.
"Matt" (11:21:00 PM): "Let have a look at them," I began, "We need to see if its serious or not." I hold out my hand.
maure love (11:22:12 PM): "Okay." I reply quetly. I take my hand out of the cold water and hold it out for Matt to look at.
"Matt" (11:24:34 PM): I study Maureen's hand for about a minute. "It doesn't look bad, its just mildly burnt," I stated. "I think its just a scald, not even a 1st degree, you should be okay. I'll finish the dishes."
maure love (11:25:48 PM): "Are you sure?" I ask, Stephanie leavesthe room and Matt starts doing the dishes. I got up behind him and give him a hug. "Thanks Matt." I say quietly.
"Matt" (11:29:21 PM): I laugh quietly. "Your welcome," I started to say, "by the way, you should still wrap those fingers, they're going to be sensitive for a day or so."
maure love (11:31:19 PM): I let go of him and say, "Okay, I'll go do that." I go into the bathroom and find the first aid kit. I wrap my fingers, but it didn't turn out as good as I planned. I walk back into the kitchen, fingers looking strange and grab my sutffed animals.
"Matt" (11:33:35 PM): I finish up drying the dishes and putting them away. As I go to put the last plate away, it slips and hits the floor, shattering. "... oopies."
maure love (11:35:15 PM): I see Matt drop the plate and watch it shatter, "Don't move. I don't want you to step on broken peices." I go into the closet and get a broom and dustpan. I clean it up but a peice of plate jabs me in my burnt finger, "OW!"
"Matt" (11:38:08 PM): I see a little blood come from Maureen's finger. I know its nothing serious, but the burn's sensitivity must have multiplied the pain. "Oh, Maureen, that must hurt really bad with the burn," I stated. "Lets get that fixed up." I notice the wrapping wasn't done proberly. "I'll wrap your hand this time for you."
maure love (11:39:50 PM): I start laughing, "Yeah, I'm not to good at wrapping fingers and stuff." I take out the peice of shattered plate and we walktothe bathroom. I sit down in the floor.
Matt: "Let me see the cut finger," I tell Maureen.
