The bell just rang *ding ding ding* oh crud class has already started, I zoom into the classroom hoping the teacher doesn't notice I’m tardy
"matt": I’m sitting in my chair, I look over at your chair. "I hope she's not sick today."
maure love: "Ms. Harman! You are late again, one lunch detention for you! Go and sit down immediately." Says the teacher. "I'm sorry!" I run to my seat and take out my notebook from my tote bag "Hey, Matt. What did I miss?" I ask you.
"matt": "You missed the morning announcements Maureen," I reply. "There was nothing important though, the teacher didn't start teaching yet."
maure love: "Oh, good." I pull out a mirror to check my hair. "I missed the bus so I had to run here." The teacher starts talking so I get my pen ready to take notes. "Psst, Matt...Did you hear about the one girl who attack Mr. Jordan?"
"matt": "Mr. Jordan was attacked...by a girl!" *giggles* "What happened is he alright?"
maure love: I whisper to you, "Hey, not to loud I already have lunch detention. Yeah, Mr. Jordan took away this one chick's mascara and she flipped out on him, it was crazy, you know Jackie right?"
"matt": "Oh, sorry. Jackie, that crazy girl who is like overly hyperactive or insane?"
maure love: "Matt and Maureen, I expect this from Maureen but not from you Matt, both of you, see me after class." The teacher says. "Crap..." I reply.
"matt": "Ok teach," I reply. "I'm sorry Maureen, here, write on this piece of paper, or we could wait until after class."
maure love: I mumble, "It's okay Matt. I'll tell you after class." In my head I think how ballistic Mom's going to be when she finds this out, Lunch detention and a talk after class, the only thing worse then having a drill sergeant as a mom is having her as the principal, and I get stuck with the worse of the two
"matt": "Ok," I whisper. I think to myself how to tell my mom about this. I know my dad won't really care, but I've never got into trouble before...at least at school.
maure love: It's now after class and I get up to talk to the teacher, "Come on Matt."
"matt": "Aright, lets get this over with." We walk up to the teacher and he gives us a cold, hard stare.
maure love: "Matt, this time I'm giving you just a lunch detention, but Maureen, you need to be quiet when told to. I tell you day in and day out the same thing. You have a day of in school campus" He says. "Mr. K, um this isn't to be self righteous or anything, Matt wasn't doing anything wrong, it was my fault I'll take his detention. I started the conversation, I'm sorry." I reply hoping this will gain me some points in his book, "Fine." Mr. K replies.
"matt": "Um, Mr. K, I still talked in class. I'll take the punishment, and I'm sorry about this too, I'll be quite from now on." I look over at you and smile. "Hmm, honesty is a good trait Matt, are you sure about this?" asked Mr. K. "Yeah, I’m sure," I reply. We leave the room.
maure love: "You know Matt I was trying to cover for you so I don't ruin your perfect ness." I say, getting in trouble has put me in a bad mood. "Sorry, Matt I don't mean to be rude, I just had an extremely bad morning."
"matt": "Yeah I know Maureen, but I don't need anyone to cover for me. Plus, I couldn't let you spend that detention alone. So what happened this morning, maybe I can help."
maure love: "Its okay, I don't really feel like talking about it, thanks Matt, I actually have to go and meet up with some friends before class, see you next period." I start to walk off and wave goodbye.
"matt": As I wave goodbye, I notice a new student in the halls. I stop over to say hi. "Hello there, what’s you're name?" I ask him. "It's Shawn," he replies. "Hello there Shawn, you'd better hurry up, or we might be late for class," I tell him. "Oh, you're right," he stated. "Hey, who was that girl?" I look at him puzzled for a second, "Oh, that was Maureen." He looks at me, "You two look good together." I laugh. "We're not like that, we're just friends," I quickly state. "Okay, if you say so." Shawn said. *bell rings* "Dang it, lets get moving!"
maure love: Yes, I think, I've actually made it to class on time. Now where is Matt? I see him, he's actually late! Oh great I gave him my tardiness! He takes the seat behind me and some kid that I don't know sits right next to me. "Hi, I'm Maureen, are you new here?" I ask him.
"matt": "Yeah, my names Shawn," states the new kid. I lean slightly forward and whisper, "You guys might not want to talk in class."
maure love: "Well nice to meet you Shawn." I smile at him. I look back at Matt and say, "Shh you're distracting me from Shawn." A note gets passed my way, its from Shawn, and reads, "hey what’s up?" I smile at this because Shawn is totally cute. I write back.
"matt": I sit there, watching what is going on. I start to feel slightly jealous. Which is strange because I've never felt jealous before.
maure love: I look back at Matt, oh he doesn't look happy. Is he jealous because I'm flirting with Shawn right in front of him? I write back to Shawn asking him what he thinks, I know I just met him but whatever.
"matt": I try to ignore what’s going on and pay attention to the teacher, but I find my eyes keep turning over to Maureen, even when I tell them not too.
maure love: Lets see what Shawn wrote....what?? I write back to Shawn, no we're just friends why would you write something like that?
"matt": I start to play around with my pencil and then I accidentally drop it. I go to pick it up and as I'm coming up I hit my head on the table. "Ouch," I say. The teacher looks at me, "Will you quit playing around and pay attention Matt." "Yes Sir, I'm sorry, it won't happen again." This is not going to be a good day I think to myself.
maure love: I hear Matt smack his head on the table, ooh that’s got to hurt. "Hey Matt are you okay? What were you doing down there? Looking at my butt ore something?" Shawn and I burst out laughing. "Hey, Both of you, simmer down." Yells the teacher. "Sorry!"
"matt": Embarrassed I burry my head in my hands. Then I start to laugh, though I don't know why. Before the teacher can yell, I say "I'm sorry, I’ll calm down, I think I might have knocked something lose though." The class laughs and the teacher stares at me... then smiles slightly. "Right, now back to what I was saying..."
maure love: So I totally embarrassed Matt in class, I hope he isn't mad. I really like hanging out with Shawn, but Matt keeps giving us cold looks. Well, Matt and I used to be really close before my parents got divorced; I guess I just got distanced from him. I walk to my photography class by myself. Finally something I'm actually good at, I take my seat.
Norky07: I walk over to my drawing class; on the way I turn a sharp corner and knock over Stephanie. Oh, I'm so sorry, here, let me help you." "...Is that you Matt?" she asks. I laugh "you forgot me already?" She begins to talk, "Listen, I thought about what I said and..." "I gotta go Stephanie or I'll be late for class," I interrupted. I get up and hurry off; I don't feel like reopening old wounds.
maure love: Photography goes on with out and interruption, and I'm off to my next class. Its world history, I hope Shawn is there. I see him when I enter, my heart speeds up. "Hey Shawn." I say. He doesn't say anything but only hands me a note. I'll read it after class, I take my usual seat next to Danielle. We immediately start gossiping, it seems that the teacher doesn't care in this class.
Norky07: In drawing class I attempted to draw a dog and messed it up pretty bad. After that class I go to Algebra 2. The teacher decides to change sets, I end up way in the back, and Stephanie ends up next to me. "Hey why'd you run off earlier?" she asked. "I didn't want to be late," I reply. "So...you wanna do something after school?" she asks. "No," I reply, "I...have something to do." "Oh, ... ok," she looks away and we don't talk for the rest of the class.
maure love: Class lets out and I realize I have lunch detention, I remember my note. I read it carefully; it’s hard to considering he has horrible writing. I make it out, he want to go get ice cream with Matt and me. I walk to my next class, I meet up with Matt on my way there, he looks like something has happened
Norky07: Thoughts keep running through my head, I block out everything around me, trying to clear my head.
maure love: "Hey Matt, is something wrong? I think I'm supposed to tell you that Shawn wants to get ice cream with you and me today." I tell him. "You look kinda shook up." I may not be very close to Matt but I still care about him a bit.
Norky07: Thinks about for a little, I'd rather go home and sleep because of how I feel today. "I guess so..."
maure love: "Are you sure? I wouldn’t mind going with Shawn alone." I can't help saying it, but it looks like I hurt his feelings.
Norky07: Thinks more about it, then remembers that I first met Stephanie over ice cream. "Yeah, you go ahead, I’m not feeling well."
maure love: "Okay, you should get some rest or something." I bound off and wave good-bye. "See ya Matt." With that I run around looking for Shawn, thoughts cluttered. I nearly run into him, "Hey, I told Matt about ice cream but he isn’t feeling well. You might want to talk to him or something."
Norky07: On the way home I stop t the cafe and sit down to clear my thoughts. "I though you had something to do today, Matt," the voice behind me said. I turned around, it was Stephanie, I turned back around. "Hey, why won't you look at me, do you hate me that much?" I shake my head side to side. "Listen, I ... I can't hate you." "Oh, really?" she replies and hangs around my neck. "Remember when..." she begins. "Get off me!" I yell, "I don't want to remember!" There was a long silence and everyone was watching us. I then realized what I said as she ran away crying. I just buried my face in my hands, wishing I too could cry.
maure love: School ended pretty quickly, probably because I was so excited about this afternoon. I still have about an hour to wait for Shawn. On my way home I see Stephanie crying on a bench. Considering she means something to Matt I stop and comfort her. "Stephanie? What happened?" I ask. She replies by telling me everything about her and Matt. I am shocked by what she told me, I’m actually enraged, enraged at her. How dare she do that to Matt! I say that I have to go and I'll talk to her tonight. I walk past my favorite cafe and decide to get an iced mocha to cool my nerves. I walk up and order it. Is that Matt? He looks like he had been crying or something.
Norky07: I finally take my face out of my hands and I see Maureen looking my way. I get up and start to walk home.
maure love: I watch him get up and walk out, I'm worried. I get my mocha and make my way outside trying to see where he went.
Norky07: As I'm walking away, I look back, I see Maureen looking around. I stop in the middle of a road and almost turn around. A car honks it horn, I quickly turn to my right, there’s a car speeding towards me. I dive out of the way and the car just misses me as I lie there on the sidewalk, thinking to myself...maybe I should’ve let the car hit me.
maure love: I found him finally. He barely missed that car. I run over to him laying on the sidewalk. He obviously doesn't want me around, I can tell. "Matt? I know what happened with Stephanie, she told Me." that was all I could say.
Norky07: I looked up at Maureen and got up off the ground. I open my mouth to say something, but I can't find the words.
maure love: My phone rings and I pick it up ,it's Shawn. Great I missed our date; I apologize to him so much. By the time I get off the phone Matt is just staring at me, I can't tell if he's angry because I know or just to hurt for words.
Norky07: I attempt to smile, saying, "That was a close one."
maure love: "Matt, please don't play that with me." I say, he is always doing this, just like when we were kids. His fake smile tells it all, heartbroken.
