Hello again and welcome to another gunpla review! I have been working very diligently on my Christmas haul, so that I could take pictures and show you guys. smile So I finally finished my MG Age 1 and I must say that if your new to gunpla and model kits, this guy is a great place to start. I was happy to finally get him, because I've been wanting to purchase him for a while. smile This would have to be my easiest MG that I've built thus far, and that's saying something! I had no problems, and the whole build was very enjoyable and fun. So let's get into it. wink
To start, this kit doesn't need to be painted at all, if you're wanting to then you can to touch him up, but all I had to do was a very easy panel lining, and apply the decals to him. Now, they give you a lot of decals, and if you're wanting to deck him out, then you can, but I just used the ones that I thought made him stand out. The articulation on this guy was great! He reminded me of the G Gundam kits that i've built, that you can pose him in any stance that you want. The head was very detailed and looked great with all of the panel lines applied, and this guy has a neat little gimmick. The hatch can slide out and show the pilot, and if you wanted the figure of Flit to stand on the opening hatch, you could which I found was very neat! The weapons that this guy comes with are a standard rifle, which I really liked the design of this gun! And his shield, which looks very nice, and can move around on the arm, and his gun can detach into a SMG, which looks really cool as well! I personally think he doesn't really need any over the top weapons,He looks really awesome without it. wink And the last thing that you get are 4 beam sabers, 2 short and 2 long, so you can pose him pulling it out of his side, and extending it, or whatever you want. -Thumbs up-
This was a very fun and easy build for me, and I really enjoyed putting him together. He may not be the most impressive MS, but I think he doesn't need to be too flashy. He looks classic and very well made, the design was perfect, and he was a treat to put together. If you're new to the MG line, or your wanting something a little easier, then I highly recommend you pick this guy up! This series get bashed alot for being babyish, and different from most of the gundam anime, but I think that the series was fantastic, and all of the characters were memorable.
