Hello gundam fans once again to another review! I know it's been QUITE awhile since my last upload! -checks date and sees December- Wow! 0.0 To be honest, I've had a lot of important stuff come up in my life that had to come first, so as I've been busy, I have been buying and building kits, I just haven't uploaded any posts in awhile. But, starting with this one, I do plan on being much more active, maybe not as active as I was, with 2 posts a month or even 3! -dies- So with that, I want to review a kit that I am very excited to finally have and to be able to share with you readers. smile The Gundam Barbatos 1/100 from the series Iron-Blooded Orphans! I love love LOVE this kit, I've always loved the design and the simplicity of the Barbatos and it's other forms because to me, they don't look like the average main gundam, and I think thats one of the reasons why I loved the show. This was the first of the 1/100 Iron-blooded orphans model kits, and for the most part, it has mixed reviews. Most people love it and the design, but it does have some flaws to it, I however didn't come across really any big issues with this kit. So without further ado, let's dive in and see what we've got here! To begin with; This does have an inner frame, unlike earlier 1/100 models, which makes it more sturdy and more articulated, Plus, I love the terminator vibe I get from the inner frame! -thumbs up- The shoulders are bulky, almost like a linebackers shoulders and the waist is more exposed as opposed to the blocker gundams that we have in the gundam universe. I love the head design of this kit because it looks more menancing, you can really feel it when he stares you down. wink The hands are swappable, but aren't like the MG's with the thumb and interchanagle hands. They also have no problems holding his weapons, even though the sword can sometimes fall out if you aren't having him hold it right! XD It also comes with this gigantic cannon! My god, he looks like he's ready to ruin somebodys day. wink The only complaint that I have with this kit is the first thing is, it doesn't come with his giant mace that he has in the show, but thats fine, I know alot of people were put off by that, but to me, the other two weapons more than make up for it. And plus, if you ever want to get the lupus rex, that version comes with it, so you can just swap it back and forth if you choose. The other one is the legs can sometimes be a little weak, and he might have a hard time standing up, but I don't really have that problem, mine is as solid as a rock and very sturdy! This was such a fun build to do and I loved every minute of it! If you want, you can panel line and paint the parts of the kit that have stickers, because they do sometimes want to come off on their own, but if not, he looks great even so. I would definitly recommend this guy to anyone that wanted a Barbatos or try out the 1/100 line of these guys, and trust me, I do plan on getting more in the future! So as always, I've posted pictures of him for you guys, enjoy! smile
