Hello and welcome once again to another gunpla review! I know its been awhile since my last review, and I do apologize, but I was taking a break from building gunpla for the holiday season. -sweat drops- It's always busy around this time of year, but I'm happy to say that I'm back and ready to start bringing you guys some great reviews! I first want to start off by saying that I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I hope you all pigged out like I did. wink The holiday season is always hectic, but I try to at least post monthly reviews. But now that I'm back, let's take a look at the HGUC Zaku 1 Denim/Slender from the OVA Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin. If you haven't ever watched this series, I would highly highly recommend that you do! It's very very good and for anyone that's an UC buff, or a Mecha buff, Its a great series to watch. It tells the story of Char Aznable, and the origins of the whole conflict between the zeon and earth federation forces. Its more serious than the original series, but I think that's what makes it so great! Anyways, hehehe, sorry about my long rant, without any further ado, let's dive in and see what we've got. wink
Okay, the first thing is, this kit has parts to either make the denim zaku, which is more close ranged combat and includes a shoulder shield and weapon pods, as well as a bazooka for blowing up those EFF good guys! -thumbs up- Or the Slender zaku, which is the one that I chose to build, it comes with a sniper rifle, which looks awesome! It also comes with the standard beam tomahawk and zaku rifle that is so famous. wink I love the accessories for this kit, the sniper rifle was one of reasons why I ended up buying it smile He comes with a set of stickers for the mono eye, and a sticker for the shoulder that is black and yellow, like a roadwork sign or caution sign, which I thought was really cool. He comes with four sets of hands! Yes, other than the standard holding hands, he has one hand for his main weapons, a trigger finger hand, a holding hand that goes on the left hand so he can hold his weapon and a closed fist. The articulation of this guy is amazing! The origin line of HGs are very posable, and you can tell that a lot of work went into them, because they have so much stuff and the prices are actually very reasonable. I only paid about 12 dollars for mine, counting shipping, it was 15, so that wasn't bad at all! Anything you want to do with this little guy, you can wink
I had such a blast building and panel lining him. You don't have to panel line or paint, but if you choose to, it's very easy to do. I painted his beam tomahawk, so it would look better and it was my first time painting one so I think I did pretty okay, it turned out very nice. But you don't have to add anything, if you're new to gunpla, or want something that you don't have to do too much with, I would highly recommend you pick this guy up and give it a try! The origin series are a wonderful set and I really want to get more in the future. Thanks again for taking the time to look at my review and below are the pictures I took of him, enjoy! smile
