Hello again everyone! I hope you guys had a happy and safe halloween! Speaking of halloween, my review for today will be on the MG Master Gundam 1/100. It's been awhile since my last MG review, I actually reviewed all of them, except this one, so I thought it would be appropriate, since it was halloween a couple of days ago, and a devil gundam would be suiting for the occasion. wink
This gundam is from the series G gundam, and is the Shining/God gundam's arch rival, or master rather. wink He is controlled by Master Asia, which is the main characters teacher, who throughout the series, would fight him, because he was tired of seeing the gundam fights decay and destroy the earth. And to him, the only way to save mankind, was to elimanate humans in order to purify the earth. This made for a great plot in the story, and made it interesting, because he would fight the main character, Domon, at every corner, until he realized there was a bigger threat to the earth, other than humans. As you can see, it was very shounen, but that was one of the reasons why I fell in love with the series! He is often refered to as the Undefeated of the East, and represents Neo Hong Kong. The master gundams design always looked so cool to me, and I loved the wings and the design of the head. smile But, is he just as posable and great as the God Gundam? Let's find out!
For starters, in terms of posability and articulation, he is just as fantastic as God Gundam is! He can pull off any pose that you want, and looks just as cool doing it. -Thumbs up- I love the way his hands look. smile Very sinister, which adds to this kits presence. He comes with his own set of hands, open and closed, and comes with his own burning hands, so he can do the famous darkness finger! So the Darkness and the Shining light, fight in a battle that proves which side is greater, what more could you want? wink He also comes with a sash, that he uses, since he doesn't use swords or weapons, it's all about hand to hand combat with the Master gundam. They also give you a wire, so you can do his famous detaching punch! As I said in the God Gundam review, the only downside to that model kit was that you had to buy this one in order to do the School of the East pose, but if you have both, then it looks great! smile
This was a fun and easy build, and I had a lot of fun posing and showing off what this guy can do. Even though, he was released in 2002, and is considered a older MG, he doesn't let that stop him at all. wink If you're a fan of the series, and love the look of the Master gundam, I highly recommend you buy one, you won't be disapointed at all!
