Hello again and welcome to another review! For this next line I"m going to reviewing my Gundam IBO (Iron Blooded Orphans) kits. And to start things off, I'm going to be reviewing first the HGIBO 1/144 Gundam Barbatos, smile This series came out a couple of years ago, and I've got to say, I very much enjoyed the whole series and all of the MS that were in it. They all reminded me of a new Gundam 8S Team, which if you haven't seen that series, please do! It's only 13 episodes, and its well worth the time to watch. smile
The very first thing that you will see on this guy, is how different he looks from your standard lead gundam. 0.0 He has all of the same color in all of the right places, but his "Frame" looks very unique, and this is a plus in my book! He has great articulation, and his design is amazing! I love the head, how menacing it looks, and as far as posing goes, this guy moves in all of the right ways! His legs are designed to be able to bend back very far and forward, and his waist can move all around and wiggle, which is hilarious for a MS. wink The weapons that you get with this kit are going to be his HUGE mace, I mean my god, he looks like hes going to bash your head in, and as far as holding it...He does have some trouble, but if your patient, you can get it. smile His next weapon is a very nice looking katana, that I was very impressed with, you don't see too many of these with the model kits, which was nice to see a main MS use it. And he has no problem holding this weapon at all. They also give you an extra wrist and hand, one that holds his "Shield" If you can call it that. 0.0 And a regular one.
This was a very fun build, and definitely worth the title of lead gundam in my book! -Thumbs up- What I loved about this series, was it was very grungy, and all of the MS looked like very unique Mechs, ones that you wouldn't think you would see in a gundam anime. One of them even looked like Metal Gear. >.< If you haven't picked one up yet, please do, and you'll really enjoy the show, its very very good! It had everything you could want in a gundam anime or a mecha anime. I hope you guys like the pictures I took below of him. smile
