Hello again! My next review is going to be on the HGCE (Cosmic Era) 1/144 Aile Strike Gundam Revive Version. This is a remastered version of the older model kit that came out in 2002. The main differences between the 2002 version, and the revived version is the revived is more articulated, and is just slightly taller than his 2002 counterpart. Also, the older version came with decals, that you could use to spiff up your model, something that I wished they would have done for the newer one. (X_X)
One thing that you'll notice from this guy, is the giant backpack. 0.0 And the fact that you WOULD think he would be top heavy right? Well, this guy can easily stand even with that on him! It becomes a mixed opinion on the packs of these seed model kits, some people love them, some people hate them, I for one, really like the design and don't mind the extra baggage on the back. I think it makes them look that much more impressive! His articulation is much better than the older version and he is able to be posed quite easily. You don't have to do much to touch him up, if you want to. Just a bit of panel lining, and maybe some topcoat to make him look better, but he already looks amazing without it! -thumps up- His weapons include his shield, that is molded in red, with a yellow piece for the middle, his rifle, and this revived version even thru in his two combat knifes that he has at the beginning of the series! He also comes with two beam sabers, which was very nice, that you can store the hilts on his backpack. smile Other than that, there really isn't anything bad to say about this kit, he was great and really showed the improvement of HG's in the past 10 years.
This series is one of the best Gundam anime that has come out since the show began airing in 1979, So I would highly, highly recommend you not only watch the first season, but Seed Destiny, which is a continuation of the series. Although long, its an amazing series, and the MS are definitely amazing and very flashy! But, also to go out and try one of these guys. If you want the older version, they are still very good, but if your wanting something just little more updated, then go with the revived version! smile Below are the pictures that I took of him, Enjoy!
