It's been a long time since the last time I actually posted one of these but I feel the need to do so today.
So many people assume things like Alchemy, Magick and Psychic powers don't exist or try to pick apart the different aspects of them. But I feel I need to express my own thoughts and beliefs as well as the few facts I know about them.
Alchemy: People these days think that alchemy is like you see on T.V, where someone just draws a magic circle on the ground, claps their hands and makes something out of thin air. This isn't the case. Transmutation Circles are very real aspects of Alchemy but they have no power of their own. The circles themselves are nothing more than maps on how to break down and rebuild different materials. The power of Alchemy lay within the alchemists themselves. Understanding the makeup of an object is crucial to performing true alchemy, hence the reason it is so simple, but so very hard to find a true alchemist. Every transmutation can require years of research to fully understand and the greater the transmutation the longer the process takes. Transforming Lead into Gold, for example, is an entirely feasible transmutation, so long as one understands the make-up of the exact amount of Lead and an equivalent amount of Gold. Moreso, Equivalent Exchange is a very real law of alchemy. You only create what you can donate to the transmutation. You get what you give. Literally, you reap what you sow.
Magick: The laws of Magick are diverse enough to be considered a religious practice by some, though simple enough to be thought otherwise by practitioners. So many people think that Magick is inherently evil, or satanic, but this is not true. Magick is, by nature, a ritualistic exertion of the caster's will. The difference in Pagan and Wiccan Magick, for example, lay mostly in who the spells are used for. Pagan Magick is typically used for one's self while Wiccan Magick is typically used for the sake of others. Hence the titles of "Black" and "White" Magick. While certain, Fictional, aspects of Magick could be replicated by science, most of them are unable to be replicated in any medium. Many claim that Pagans or Wiccans are simply victims of circumstance, which reinforces their belief that they are actually doing something, I can, personally, vouch for the authenticity of Magick. My first BF was Wiccan and I have seen the effects of some of his spells.
Psychokinesis: Psychokinesis, an umbrella term for most psychic powers, is also a very real phenomenon. People don't realize that humans have nearly limitless mental potential. It's a scientifically proven fact that most humans only used 10-20% of their brains, so who's to say that some part of our brain we don't use doesn't generate the energy used by Psychics? I have witnessed, firsthand, the effects of a Psychic's abilities. I have precognitive abilities of my own, most often manifested as De Ja Vu, though I have met other psychics who have more prominent abilities, usually strong enough to at least remember a vision they've had, rather than simply feeling like they've seen or done something before. Psychokinesis can manifest in many, many forms and not all forms have been recorded. While there is still no physical proof to the scientific community that Psychokinesis does, in fact, exist, how can one ignore of disprove the sheer numbers of believers and moreso, how can one dissuade someone who believes they are truly Psychic from thinking so? It is purely impossible without proof to the contrary.
