Rylan has lived the life of a vampire from the time he was born, only
without the curse. Due to a birth defect he was born with Albinism,
and as such, cannot go out during the day without heavy protective
clothing covering every part of his body. This has made Rylan's life
undoubtedly difficult as he's gotten older, unable to do what most
children his age could, such as play outside, or go swimming. Even
participating in any sports at his school was impossible, unless it took
place inside without any form of harsh light. However Rylan doesn't like
people to feel sorry for him because he's different. So, instead of
sulking about it as most would, he tries to remain optimistic so the
people around him don't worry. He actually has quite a few friends,
though no one who actually knows and understands the real side of
him. Something that he stifles by looking to another sort of friend, his
albino pet rabbit Lucas. Fortunately animals don't judge like people do
so, he finds comfort in relaying a lot of his most inner thoughts and
secrets to this rabbit, who he feels understands his situation because
he's different too.

Rylan suffers from a pigment disorder in his skin, resulting in paleness
and a low tolerance to sun light. To put it simply, he will die if
exposed to sunlight for too long.
