Update on me…
Well time for an update on a lot of things.
1) Yearbooks are finally out! After all the work I put into this damn thing it is a relief that it does not suck. Thanks to a lot of my sales ideas we are almost all caught up on costs, which is better than the debt we came into at the start of the year. I proposed a digital yearbook for spring. Since the yearbook has to done one by spring, all the spring sports, graduation, and stuff like that are from last year in the book. I thought that sucked for seniors…so now we are making a digital yearbook for spring. We have raised close to $600 on that so far. The funny thing is that all the work I did on the damn thing; I can’t even afford one.
2) Track is finally over. The season was fun and I met a lot of cool people from a lot of schools, but god does it feel good to have a free moment. Thanks to the combined efforts of track and yearbook I was under a massive mound of late work which I just recently climbed out from under. Just got one paper due for English and I am free! All I got now is the athletic banquet and it’s all over, until next year.
3) MRS. RAITOR IS LEAVING! One of my favorite teachers from freshman year is leaving, so that sucks. The swim team is throwing her a surprise going away party (she was our coach incase you didn’t get that). I’m in charge of making her a scrap book, should be fun…I guess
4) I have officially been named chief editor for next year’s yearbook. That is awesome because it is the first time that a non-senior was CHOSEN for the job. There was a junior in a previous year, but that was because there was no senior. This year there was, but I just out did them. I’m a little worried though. This year’s book was probably better than all the others put together. If next years book isn’t as good, it will be my fault. I have a lot to live up to. The quality of this year’s book is kinda masked by the fact that no one liked last years book. Since everyone hated last years book (so I hear, I thought it was nice) they compared this years to that book. Next year they will compare it to this year’s book. If only they would compare it to two years ago (which would be last year)…
