• When we love someone so much, it hurts to find out that they think poorly of us. It hurts more then thousands of bullets being shot into your body. No, this wound was deeper. Much deeper. It was like you were being pulled apart little by little. It hurt. It really did hurt, never knowing the love of a sister. Who really does know the love of a sister? What is the love of a sister?

    “Can someone show me?”

    In the shadows we hide.
    Our faces nothing but pride.
We think our lives are perfect.
Till we find the truth behind our hidden existence.

It was a normal day in the world. The same normal black and white day. People walking around the streets, diving their cars, the wind whispering soft nothings into their ears. Just a normal day. It seemed like the world had it in for you. It didn’t like having different days to create a new picture. It was like this for as far as you could remember.

ring-ring, ring-ring, ring-, You slammed your hand down the annoying object. It was like it was mocking you. Telling you, you had to wake up for another day. When you’d rather just stay in your bed and dream. Dream of a different day, of a different time.

You sighed heavily as you got up from the comforting and warm embrace from the blanket. It was like it was pulling you back to stay in it’s protecting and heavenly touch. But you resisted the urge to just lay down and stay in that haven. You grabbed your white fuzzy slippers and slipped your feet into their awaiting mouths. You opened your arms and stretched out all the kinks in your body. Hearing an eerie crack here and there. Bones cracking into the silent air around your fragile body. Quickly you grabbed your things and headed down to the bathroom.

Same routine as ever. Brush your teeth, wash your face, change out of your pajamas and into your new clothes, combed your hair and then your make-up. That’s all you did. Everyday of the week. Just before going up stairs and waiting for your family to come down stairs and get ready.

You’d sit there for about an hour and thirty minutes till it was time to go to school. An evil place filled with monsters of all shapes and sizes. There was only a couple of angels there to protect you from the scary monsters. Your friends and your sister.

Especially your sister. She was your roll model, your idle, your hero, the person you wanted to be like. In your eyes she was perfect. You were so proud of having a sister like her. You always said to people”

“Anything she wants, anything she needs, I’ll get it for her just to make her happy.”

That’s how it was. You’d completely become the servant of your angel. It might seem like it was wrong. But to you, you were completely happy to fulfill the need of your angel. Just to bring out that smile of hers.

Walking inside the school you and your sister parted and you went your own ways. Just like any day. Her locker was in the same hall but a little ways down. But it was closer for her to walk the other way and for you the opposite way.

Along the way you bumped into some of your friends. Brenda, she was a small girl, a little shorter then you, with shoulder length brown hair and two stunning brown eyes to accompany her. She had a warm smile and always was happy. She was one of your best friends. You really cared for her. The other one was Jessica, she was a little taller then you and had dark brown hair that went to her mid back. Maybe a little shorter. But she also had deep pools of dark brown eyes. You’ve known her since elementary school. But you got separated when you went into middle school. Now reunited in high school, you two became really close.

“Ey que onda?” she asked happily.

You gave her a brilliant smile and replied with your normal reply.

    “Nada, apenas llegue, y tu?”

“Pues nada, solo andando por aqui… y que me cuentas?”

“Pues nada, como te dije apenas llegue.”

“Orale, y que, quieres caminar con nosotros?”

Normally you’d just say no or say you were going to the cafeteria, but you wanted to hang out with them. The three amgias. That’s what you three were known as. Last year, during freshman year, you three were inseparable. But this year you didn’t get to see them as much as you’d like. But you still kept in touch with them. Especially Brenda since you had both lunches with her and hung out with her in the mornings mostly all the time. But still.

You smiled at them and turned your body so it would face the direction they were going and began to walk. Just a normal day. Right? A little twist in your life.

But why is it when you try and do something different in your life, fate comes into play and snatches everything away? Especially from you? All you wanted was to do something different from your everyday normal life. But it was the biggest mistake you ever made. Fates in now and he has his eye on you. A new puppet to add to his ever growing collection.

The day went on like that. You went to your classes, took notes, left the class when the bell rang, and walked to your other classes. Then went to lunch, walked around with Brenda. Just normal everyday things. But why is it, when you are just having a good time, something always has to go wrong?

“Hey!” called a soft angelic voice from behind.

You turned around and you could have sworn you saw two beautiful angel wings behind her. But you blinked once, then twice and they were gone. It was your sister who was calling you.

“Yeah, what’s going on?” you asked.

She explained to you that she wanted to leave school with her friends because she had two independent study classes at the end of the day. She told you that she will be back but that she didn’t ask mom. You smiled at her and told her not to worry. You had it all covered.

She smiled at you and left. Your smile became bigger. There it was, the only reason to be the slave of your angel. That brilliant smile that only God could make himself. You knew a servant should know where there place was. But you were a different type of servant. Not like the rest who had a grudge over their angels. No, you held no grudge. No grudge at all.

Fate’s laughter filled the darkening sky above. His dark cloak covering his large body. His face covered by a hood. In his hands were wires. His sinister aura destroying everything around. Anything he wanted could fall into a bottomless pit of pure darkness and his next toy will become part of those everlasting screams that never crease to amuse him. Tonight, he will attach his strings to his new puppet.

    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

You lay silently in your bed. Eyes shut, a calm and peaceful aura around you. Your face matching your ever peaceful sleep. Your clock on the side of the bed. Many things scattered everywhere. The clock stroke 3:15 and everything fell silent. No sound of the whispering wind, no scratching of the angered trees. No sound at all.

    As deadly as the night.
    He’ll come with fright.
To attach his wires of torment.
    “You are his puppet.”

    (In your dreams)

You walked in darkness as you looked around for a light or something. You were scared and no one was there to comfort you. It was as silent as death. Suddenly, you started hearing something. A soft but evil whisper around the room.

“They left you, they don’t care, no one wants you… where’s your sister? Where is this angel you speak so high of?”

“STOP IT! SHE’S HERE! SHE’LL PROTECT ME!”

He laughed eerily into the darkness.

“My dear sweet child, she doesn’t care, listen closely. Ask around. She’s just using you… I only tell the truth… ask around and think hard… back in time… she made you loose your true love… she made you suffer, she even thought you were crazy…”

His laughter became louder and deeper. Hot streaming tears began to fall from your eyes, as every memory came to view.

    (Memory 1)

During school. When you cried, she wasn’t there to comfort you. She didn’t care. Where was she? Looking to the side, she was with her friends, laughing.

    (Memory 2)

“When she took money from you and never told you what it was for. You parents began to think you were on drugs. She didn’t tell them the truth. She didn’t care what happened to you.”

    (Memory 3)

“When she called you names behind your back and you cried. She said she never called you anything. Your parents almost sent you to the hospital. They thought you were crazy. That’s when the cutting began. Then you put your hands in God’s hands… and now look where you ended up…..”

“Look around you… she is no angel… and where is this God you put so much faith into? Where is he to save you?!”

“STOP IT! STOP IT! IF MY SISTER WON’T SAVE ME THEN HE WILL!! HE WILL!!”

The laughter grew more fierce as a cloaked man came into view. His face hidden in the shadows. He laughed at you.

“I’m the only one who cares. I’m here to save you. I’ll show you the world as it is. I’ll protect you.”

Your eyes swollen and puffy red. His hand extended out for you to take. You slowly rose to your feet and walked over to him. Small and more fragile then him. He looked down at you. It felt like he was looking at a small child. Taking his hand you embraced him. The darkness swallowing you whole.

    Your first mistake.

The next morning you awoke to the same alarm clock. You slammed the cursed thing and got up. Taking out clothes, your same routine came into play.

You looked at yourself in the mirror and noticed a black figure behind you. You turned around and he was gone. Staring at the spot. You turned your body slowly back. You looked at the mirror once more and it wasn’t there. You shrugged your shoulders and walked out.

Heading to school. You went into the cafeteria and saw your friends. You smiled at them and began to talk randomly. Soon, from the corner of your eye, you saw two large black wings, holes here and there and blood oozing from them. You snapped your head towards it and only saw your sister. No wings nothing. You frowned at this. What was going on? She walked over to her table. With her friends. Never looking your way.

Do you see how she didn’t even look at you? Not one glance or wave. She comes to you only when she needs something. What type of angel is that?

You glared down at the table. That was true. She only came to you when she needed something. She didn’t care.

    Second Mistake

Soon, everything came into place. She made you suffer for so long. She made you go through this unimaginable pain for the one you love. She didn’t care. She thought so differently of you. You thought she cared. If she doesn’t care, then no one does.

    Third Mistake

Everyday was meaningless to you. It wasn’t worth it anymore. One big pain. What’s the point of life? What’s the point of living if you only suffer? Why does everything always go wrong? One day your happy the next, your crying your eyes out.

My dear child, I told you, I was right. I took you with open arms and showed you the world for what it really is. Did I not? I love you my child.

“No one cares but you… you’re the only reason for my existence… and I put my life in your hands.”

    Fourth Mistake AND Final Mistake

You looked at your trembling hands. You found out all the truth. She yelled it in your face. She said you were worthless, stupid, dumb, a annoyance. She hated you. She never once came up to you and said she loved you. She never once came up to you and embraced you and thanked you. She never cared for anyone but herself. If she doesn’t care, who will care? Not your parents, not your supposedly friends, no one will care.

The rain out side started to pour harder and harder. The wind blew harshly. The last few tears of God falling into the earth. His fallen angel going to another place and not with him. She lost faith and gave her life to him. His harsh sobs blew the tree’s to the side, his cold tears fell and made large puddles outside. The animals feelings this anguish. They all arrived at the small house to watch a fallen angel being taken away. Her hand hanging from the white stroller and white sheet that was covering her body. Limp and cold as ice itself.

God’s innocent creatures came and watched this angel being taken away being taken away. Tears mixing in with the rain as they remembered her mistakes.

Her first mistake was giving her hand to him.
Her second mistake was thinking no one cared.
Her third mistake was loosing faith.
Her fourth mistake was giving her life to him.
And her final mistake was letting him take her life.
A fallen angel to suffer through eternity in darkness.

Cries filled the air, as a funeral was made. Dressed in black they arrived to bid farewell to this fallen angel. Friends, families, came for her. They sat down in rows. Hearing the preacher talk about this girls life. As he spoke a black cloaked man went through everyone. No one noticing him. He looked down at the grave and stuck his hand in. No one moved from there placed. They showed no emotion. He pulled her from the coffin. She smiled at him and embraced him. What she didn’t notice was his evil grin on his face.

My dear fallen angel from the heaven above.
Don’t loose faith, I will save you.
I knew your soul before you were born.
I loved you even when you lost faith.
I was there trying to get your attention.
I was there my dear sweet child.

    ….I was there
