• After the sobs abruptly came to a stop, as I halted at the room entrance, an average-aged woman appeared in the gray room. She was in the middle of the room, facing the opposite direction. A black spot was surrounding the wooden legs of the chair and her own were mixed with gray and white. I soon realized what the black spot was. As I took the final steps to my own demise, there - in the wooden chair - was a transformed human.
    Her eyes were shut, tight. Blue lines; drained vein, were on her eye lids. I asked her if she was okay; no reply. Risking my life, I offered my warm hands on her freezing shoulders. They felt like ice compared to my heated body.
    The woman’s eyes shot open. They were beautiful and bright blue. It looked as if she had been staring at the moonlight for billions of years. She clasped her arms around me like a snake, and opened her jaws as wide as she possibly could. A low hiss, the sound of a rattle snake about to strike, came from the woman’s throat.
    “What is your name?” I asked her, but my voice cracked every other syllable. Terrifying as one creature can be, she bent her elbows and clenched her fists.
    Another hiss came from the back of her throat. Her eyes turned every shade of light, to dark blue, to purple, to - finally - bright yellow
