• Dr.Stevens got into the Black Hawk, followed by her marine escort. The sergeant that was already waiting in the chopper waited for the rest of the marines to get int he chopper, as soon as they did he spun his finger in the air making a circle. The 'lift off' signal to the pilot, who in return gave a thumbs up.
"If you don't mind me asking ma'am, what is it we're escorting you with?" One of the marines asked.
"That's not quite your place to be asking that private." The sergeant interjected, "Besides, we're going to the beach, don't complain it or ruin it for me." He said with a smile. After a bit of silence, the sergeant turned on the radio, it was loud enough to just be barely heard. But it was better than the droll repetition of the chopper blades.
After a half hour of flight, the chopper slowly descended to the roof top of a hospital building. The privates looked dumbfounded, but as it was explained, all other heli pads were in use. They were escorted down and into a couple of standard, all black government SUVs.
"This must be serious, we're gettin' to ride in one of the Escelades." One of the PFCs said. They all got in and their driver took off. All six of them, cramped, the doctor in the passenger seat, while two marines to a row. Even with two to a three person row, their bulky gear taking up much room. Why they had their firearms and gear confused her, they were informed of this being unneeded.
