• Rebecca hadn't gone in and tried to go back to sleep, like she'd promised Micheal she would. Her brain was racing so hard at that moment in time. There was plausible cause for such a thing too, and she knew it. Putting the index and middle fingers of her left hand softly against her lips, Rebecca smiled slightly. 'He really did kiss me...' she thought, her dark blue eyes sparkling softly in the moon's calm glow. 'He really did.'

Closing her eyes for a moment, she thought back to their star-filled conversation, and chuckled. ''I've always wanted to catch a star...'" Rebecca said softly, shaking her head. "No clue where that came from." As a gentle breeze disrupted the calm night, Rebecca opened her eyes and looked up at the sky, seeing the same constellations she's pointed out to Micheal only a short time before. Her chestnut colored hair moved slightly in the breeze, causing her to carefully brush it away from her eyes, and smile a little more.

"I don't get it," she began softly, speaking into the night. "How is it that I can just open up to him like that? I mean, he's great company, and an all around amazing guy, but I haven't been able to open up to anyone like this, or spout that much... nonsense since Nathan."

Nathan. That was a tough subject to talk about.

Suddenly, Rebecca felt her smile fade away in the same pattern that spring faded to summer. Letting out a low and soft sigh, she lowered her gaze back out into the yard. "Maybe that's the first sign that I need to move on? Being able to be that open with him." Bringing her hand up to the back of her neck, Rebecca rested it there, lost in thought for a moment.

'Are you telling me I should move on now Nathan? I swore after losing you, I'd never love again. But... with Micheal, I'm right back to how I was with you. It's so strange...' she thought, shaking her head. 'Is this what you think is best for me?' Looking up once more, Rebecca watched as a soft green flicker made it's way through the air.

    "Fireflies."

Chuckling, she turned her attention back to the door behind her and proceeded towards it. "That's my sign."
