Sweet silver bells ring.
Oh, how they ring in the night.
Can you hear them call?
They call on and on.
They yearn to be heard for once.
Will you answer them?
Oh, sweet silver bells!
On this chilly morn you ring!
Will no one answer?
Enveloped in white,
Snow falling like pixie dust;
Earth tries to answer.
Oh, poor silver bells!
The Earth's answer is muffled.
Its crystal blanket.
Its chilling blanket,
Crystalizing foliage.
Oh, please never end!
Spring is on its way,
Arriving on warm breezes
To awaken me.

- Description: Here is my description of the winter season. I incorporated the ice and silver winter bells because I love both. This is just one of the many haikus that I have been inspired to write by winter.
