Lying awake, in a trance, memories dancing.
Tracing over your face, heart racing.
Momentary uplifting thoughts, my mind perplexing.
How can I breath at night, I’m still waiting
Cautious to a point of stopping, so maddening
Wishing I could run and hide, stop caring.
Cast the stone and shatter glass, I’m fleeting
Grab my arm and spin me round, retreating.
Vacillating my hopes and fears, consuming
Backed into a corner one foot out; still trying.
Cannot mask the dancer nor doll, they’re lying.
In my dreams, the stranger’s eyes, penetrating.
How can I tell you how I feel, too confusing.
When I cannot tell what’s real, insides tearing.
Help me breath; I cannot see or feel. I’m dying.
Holding myself, rocking in a ball and crying
Screaming “you cannot see me”…its terrifying.

- Title: The Doll's Dream
- Artist: Elf_Goddess_Isabel
- Description: It is a poem that was inspired by the avatar and the spirit of Christmas. It's about a doll's dreams and what's going through it's mind as it just sits there on a shelf, never to move and never to speak.

- Really scary! That beautiful doll left alone, can't she find friends or freedom from this fear somehow?
