• I pleasure myself with a few hollyhocks
and a big, large Christmas Tree.
I'm wearing red and green socks.
I've even made some nice Chrstmas tea.

    I got presents wrapped up,
One to Billy, one to Sam,
    And one to Mary Sup.
And don't forget the turkey and the ham.

The colors of Christmas; green and red
Are all hung on my wall,
    they're painted on my bed,
    and decorations, one and all.

That's when I hear the loud gaffaws
Ontop of all the other noise...
It is none but Mr. Claus
Who's come to give the good ones toys.

I think my mouth was wide open
As he came right through the door.
"What 'bout the chimney?" I say, mopin'.
He replied, "Oh, that's such a bore."

Needless to say, I was quite stunned
As he put the coal in the stockings.
I felt as though I was being shunned,
    'cause Christmas wasn't rocking.

Then he left without a proper "bye"
I shake my head and then I sat down.
'Oh, how grave,' I think, as I let out a sigh,
And then, with quite good reason, one heck of a frown.

Then I wake up. It was a dream.
Claus was a actually still a nice guy.
But then I remember, with an agonizing scream,
Still ten days 'til Christmas, that was no lie.
