Chapter 3 part 2
Brett took a step back to brace himself from the shock.
“You can talk?” Brett asked as the creature began to walk circles around him. Brett made sure his front was facing the wolf so he could try to defend himself.
“Yes, I only fight you because I must.” The wolf whispered. “If I don’t kill you, they will kill my family.”
The wolf stopped circling him and got ready to pounce him.
“I can help you.” Brett replied “They will kill your family even if you kill me, but spare me and I can help them.”
The wolf leaped at him and grazed his hair. Brett turned quickly to face the wolf again. “You have thirty seconds to explain your plan before I decide to kill you.” The wolf whispered in a friendly tone.
Brett took a deep breath and began to explain his plan.

The three men dragged Brett’s corps into a dark room and tossed it onto a pile of hay. “Hey, lets go through his belonging and see if any of it is worth some gold.” One of them said.
“Remember our orders mike, secure the body in a safe place and LEAVE IT!” The leader told Mike in a loud tone. Mike shrank back and left the room quickly.
“I don’t trust Mike, guard the body till our employer returns.” The man came to attention and saluted the leader. The leader returned the salute and then left. Nether man noticed that the body on the hay was wiggling his fingers or that it was breathing.

“Come on now ya stupid animal, get in the cage!” The man shouted a the werewolf. The werewolf was not going to enter the cage by choice. The man kicked the werewolf in the stomach which caused it to whimper.
“Leave him alone you Barbarian!” Shouted the woman in the cage. The man turned his attention to her. He rased his hand and gave her a rude gesture.
“Now go into the cage wolf!” The creature walked into the cage and laid down beside the woman. The man then closed the cage and locked it.
“Have a nice stay love birds.” The man said as he walked away laughing. He closed the wooden door to the room as he left.
The woman knelt down beside the werewolf and petted him softly. She wore a red dress that was now torn and muddy. Her Blond hair hung in clumps around her face.
“Looks like you killed the boy.” she said to the wolf softly. He had forgotten to clean the blood from is snout after attacking the boy.
“Where are Violet and Tom, Amy?” He asked her.
“They took Violet away.”
“What about Tom?”
“He slip past the guards and ran.”
“He was always was a sneaky pup.”
“Don? Do you think they will keep their promise?”
Before he could reply the wooden door open and a white wolf tumbled in.
“VIOLET!” Don shouted.
A group of five warriors walked in and laughed at violet. She tried to get up but fell down again. Don stood up and barked at the warriors, trying to get their attention.
“Shut up wolf, or we will do worse to you!” Don did not heed the warriors warning and continued to bark. The warrior walked toward the cage and reached for his sword.
“What is going on in here!” shouted a voice from behind the group. They all stopped what they were doing and stood at attention.
The man walked in slowly and studied the warriors. He wore the uniform of a warrior made of chain mail. On his head he had a steel helmet polished to a mirror shine. His leather gauntlets were in the shape of fists. He also carried a large leather bag on his back.
“Are you all deaf! What is going on in here!”
“Nothing sir.” One of them replied
“This sure as hell looks like something!”
“We were about to-”
“About to what? Have some fun? Were not getting paid to do that! Were getting paid to guard them! Do you understand!”
“YES SIR!” All the warriors replied.
“Now get out of my site before I decide to kill you all!”
And with that the warriors all left the room. The man turned toward Violet and knelt beside her. He reached into his bag and pulled out a red bottle. He removed the cork and poured some of the blue liquid into his hand.
“Dink, it will help you feel better.” the man told violet in a soft gentle tone.
She obeyed and lapped it up. She then was able to stand on her feet and felt stronger. “Looks like your plan is working Brett.” Don told the man.
The man nodded and said “How long did you know it was me?”
“I smelt your blood when you were walking down the hall.”
“I didn’t know I smelt that bad.”
“Very funny Brett.”
Brett walked up to the cage door and studied the lock.
“This lock cannot be picked with what I have.” Brett said. “But I can get it open though, stand back.”
Brett reached into a pouch on his belt and pulled out a black stone. Brett placed it in the key hole and took a few steps back and raised his hand. Lighting shot out of his hand and hit the lock causing it to explode. The door opened letting Don and his wife out.
“I suggest you guys get out of here before some one comes to investigate the loud bang.” Don nodded and motioned his family to follow him. They quickly left through the door and down the hall.
“Now lets go find a certain someone.” Brett said to himself before leaving the room.

The moon was hiding making the streets darker than normal. The light from the lamps lit up the streets. A group of girls walked down the empty streets toward the sound of party music.
“This is going to be the best night ever!” one of them said. They all talked unaware of a dark figure following them in the shadows.
One of the girls ask “Esther? Are you going to introduce us to the black mage when we get their?”
Esther thought for a moment then replied “Maybe.”
The dark figure drew close and unsheathed his dagger. As he raised his dagger to strike down one of the girls, when he was attacked by a dark blur and knocked into a bush.
“Did you here something?” Asked the draconian white mage as she looked around.
“It was probably the wind.”
They all agreed and carried on. One figure walked out of the bush and watched the group of girls walk away. In his hand was a katana that was covered in blood that dripped to the ground. He smiled before walking away. The body would never be found leaving no evidence of what happen that night. Only him and the spirt of nature would know what almost happen.
