Tale of a black mage
This is just a story that I am making. please make any comments you would like. just keep it clean!
Part 1
The warm summer wind blew gently over the tall rolling hills of grass. The sun was shining as the clouds played in the sky. The birds glided lazily over the grass fields and over the green forest. It was the 10th day of summer’s harvests in the town of shadow pine. A teenage boy was lying on his back looking at the clouds in the tall grass. He wore black leather boots that buckled up. He had black jeans with a golden belt buckle even though he was suppose to where his black silk pants. His black robe fluttered in the wind gently. He had goggles on his for head and black leather gloves on his hands. He laid relaxed with his hands resting on his stomach and a smile on his face.
It had been a hard year of training for him. Reading, exploring, exercising, spell casts were just a few of the things he had to do on a regular basses, but now he could finally relax. Tonight he would graduate as a full black mage with full honors. He had a bright future ahead of him and he was happy. He was about to drift off into a day dream when he herd someone call his name
“Brett, where are you? Your going to be later again!”
Brett sat up and scanned the field for the person who was calling his name. He herd the voice again calling “Brett!” He got up and started to walk in the direction of the voice. Even thought the grass was as tall as his boots he couldn’t see over the rolling hills. Brett walked up the hill and looked over the small city of shadow pine. The rock walls normally blocked the view of the city but on the hill Brett could see it all. The Brick houses winding along the city roads that bustled with activity and life. Even though he could not see the street venders he could smell what they were selling on the wind. Aromas of bread, cheese, meat, fruit and drink filled his nostrils along with other smells.
Brett took his eyes off the city and looked for the voice that was calling him. After a moment or two he spotted his Draconian friend Tucker. He was wearing a Red Mage robe and brown leather boot. He waved his scaly hand and shouted at Brett to come over to him. Brett jogged down the hill and walked beside him. Tucker was 50% dragon so his body was covered in hard red dragon scales and had claws on his hand and feet. He also had a long red tail as well which presented some problems for his clothing. He wanted wings so he could fly but very few draconian ever grew them. “So what did you want tucker?” Brett asked as he reached for a candy worm.
“ I came to remind you about your year book photo.”
“That’s not all, now is it?” Brett asked
“No . . . Not really . . . I . . . uh . . . ”
“Come on tuck, you can say it.”
“Hey, wait a minute! How do you know!?!” Tucker asked slightly surprised.
“I can read you like an open book my friend. You have a problem that every guy comes across in his life. It’s like a male cross road . . . ”
“Stop with the explanatory mumbo jumbo and get on with it!” Tucker said with a serious tone. By now they had reached the wide dirt path that leads either to the city or the academy. They both turn left and headed up the path to the academy. Brett popped the candy worm in his mouth before he continued.
“Look if you really like her ask her out. The world won’t end if she rejects you.”
“Have you ever been rejected before?”
“No but . . . ”
“So how do you know that the world won’t end then!”
