My Journal
A bunch of stories I wrote so friends can read them without me wasting ink. Warning: They mostly consist of [attempted] yaoi. All having to do with Yu Yu Hakusho. [HieiXKurama]
Alone Again Chapter 11
Kurama woke with the sun, blinking his eyes, then snuggling deeper into his lover’s arms, feeling, safe, secure, and loved, enjoying the heat and comfort Hiei gave. He to fall back to sleep, but couldn’t, so he left the bed, careful not to wake the sleeping fire-demon.

The redhead dressed silently and left the house. He walked down the morning sun-baked sidewalk enjoying the peace and quiet he found. He strolled by the houses of sleeping families. A sad expression crept onto his delicate features as he passed by them, ending up stopping by his mother’s home.

He stared at his bedroom window, remembering many things. Hiei coming in through the window, unannounced, while Kurama completed his homework. Them sleeping together in Kurama’s bed, chatting along, tending to each other’s wounds or just simply enjoying each other’s presence.

Emerald eyes drifted to the living room, where he and his friends held many Rekai meetings and small parties for no apparent reason. Next to the living room, he remembered, was the kitchen. There the redhead helped his mother prepare meals, make food for those parties, and made small snacks for himself and Hiei.

Kurama’s eyes scanned every bit of the house to the front yard with his plants, favorite rose bush, and his and his mother’s cherry blossom tree. Tears welled up in his eyes but refused to fall.

He looked over the house once more and found something that wasn’t there moments ago.

His mother’s face…

The fox stood in shock for a few extra moments until eh face left and he took off running, not wanting to face his mother just yet.

--

Shiori gasped as she looked out the window and found a man with long fiery red hair, looking up and down her house. ‘Shuuichi?!’ she asked herself and left to the front door, but by the time she swung it open, he was long gone. ‘Was that you, my Shuuichi?’ “Shiori?”

She turned to find Kazuya, “Oh, Kazuya, you startled me,” she said. “Is everything all right?” he asked. Shiori nodded, “I just thought I saw… someone I knew, but it wasn’t them, “she explained, slightly lying. She closed the door behind her.

“Go back to sleep, I’ll make breakfast and wake you when it’s ready,” she said. Kazuya nodded and returned upstairs. Kazuya had asked about Kurama not being home, and Shiori lied, saying he went to stay at a friend’s house for a project or something.

Since her son had left, she hadn’t entered his room, fear of the empty room. She was just so used to opening that door to finding her son smiling and chatting happily to Hiei. Then it hit her. ‘If I can find Hiei, I probably can find Shuuichi!’

--

Kurama bent over and held his knees, catching his breath. He stood in the empty park a few blocks from his house. “Jeez, Kurama, over react much?” he said to himself and laughed. He checked his watch. “Oh, Hiei should be up by now,” he said and took off towards the house.
