Chapter 1 Vindicator 2 turn kill: Haku’s Beat-down strategy!


Haku jumped out of the Hummer Stretch-Limo, literally; he had a diving board installed on the side. It was retractable so Fred didn’t hit anything while escorting Haku around. “Hey Fred, I need you to pick me up early so I can get to the tournament today.”
“Not a problem, Master Haku, but you need to get your assignments so you don’t fall behind. If I remember correctly It was you who had a D+ in History because you missed six Wednesdays in a row.”
“Alright, alright, I’ll get it done, don’t worry.” Haku had no intension of getting his history assignments. Haku was rather brilliant, but due to his weekly tournaments last year he missed every single test and slept through class every Thursday. “Now where is everyone…Oh, yea they’re inside.” Haku approached the door and swung it open expressing his state of being there. He approached his friends, but he saw a quite odd looking character standing around them. He was about one foot taller than Haku. Haku was only 5’2” but this guy was almost 6 foot. The thing that stood out about him most was his bright red pants.
“Hey what’s shakin’ How ya doin’ everybody, Life treatin’ ya good?” The creepy weird guy enthusiastically shouted as Haku passed.
“Hey, red pants, who the hell are you?” Haku asked the weird guy.
“I’m the new guy ‘round these parts. You may have heard of me, I’m…Famous.” He said with a grin and wink, which really made Haku sick.
“ I get it your famous, red pants, but what’s your name?” Haku asked him with a pathetic look.
“No my name is Famous, a self proclaimed teen fashion expert.” After his speech he did his grin and wink at Haku again. It was getting on Haku’s nerves.
“Look Famous, your winky-grinny-thingy you do is pissing me off. If you want to hang out with us you gotta stop that!” Haku told him. Haku was getting a little mad at this new guy entertaining his friend. This guy looked like he got dressed in the dark, but not just that, he looked like he crawled out of the 1970’s! This guy looked like a freak! He even had disco shoes!
The bell tolled. It was time for Haku to get to class. He turned away from Famous and headed towards the stairs. His friends began to follow while explaining the schedule to Famous. As Haku walked up the stairs he began thinking. With a smirk he turned around and stopped at the top of the steps. “Yo! Famous! I challenge you. Lets throw down!” His yelling distracted everyone, not to mention annoy most of them.
“Huh, oh me. I guess we could play a game. Lemme ask ya something. How’d ya know I played?” Famous replied. He had a really dumbfounded expression on his face.
“Its easy dumbass, you have your deck box wrapped on your hip. Plus, you have a title, right?” Haku replied with a slight sense of cockiness.
“When can we duel? It’s not like we can just ditch class.”
“Actually we can. Gentlemen, and red pants, to my locker!!!” Haku’s side kick shouted. Al wasn’t much into dueling, but he was Haku’s right hand man. Al was a genius. He rigged many things like his locker.
“ We need those. Lets sneak down to the Computer Lab. No one is in their now.” Haku said pointing to the locker. Al opened the locker and handed them to Haku and Famous.
“Strap on!” Haku shouted.
“Load deck!” Famous yelled. Haku and Famous now stood back to back in the middle of the room. They both were wearing those. They had two duel disks attached to their arm.
“Pace!” Haku yelled. They began to pace away from each other like a western shoot-out.
“Now all we need is some tumble weed,” Al said. He was very sarcastic and didn’t take much seriously. Haku and Famous were now 10 paces away from each other.
“Duel!” Haku and Famous yelled simultaneously. Al jumped up on the teachers desk. He pulled out a coin from his pocket, placed it on his thumb and flipped it.
“Call it!” Al said.
“Heads.” Famous called.
“Its tails, Haku…your up first. Don’t take him out too quickly.” Al said. “I’d like some entertainment before Class 2:Gym.”
“Here goes,” Haku said with a smirk. “Draw! Main Phase, I summon up my Aqua’s Fighter in attack mode. Then I’ll place two reverse cards and move to the end phase of my turn. You’re up.” Aqua’s Fighter was one of Haku’s favorite cards. It is one of the Robot Vindicator cards. (Robo-Vindicator for short) The hologram of Fighter stood about 3 foot tall and was mostly blue. It had two huge fists and a blue-silver mask on its face to protect it.

“Don’t tell me. You’re using those stupid Robot Vindicators. Hopefully you didn’t base your entire deck around the E-Hero Rip-offs. I draw! Summoning Berserk Gorilla in attack. Battle Phase. Berserk Gorilla, smash his Bubbleman rip-off.” Famous said, showing a brand new personality, not many people liked the robot vindicators especial since they were created after the E-heroes.

“Reveal reverse card. Permanent trap-Vindicator Aircraft!” Haku shouted as the hologram of an 8 foot long metal aircraft appeared. “This card stops you from attacking me for 3 turns.” Haku’s monster was safe for now.

“Activate spell, Graceful Charity, I draw three and ditch two.” Famous said as he was placing the cards in the right slots. “Now I set 2 cards and end it.”

“Draw Phase! This is one of my favorite phases, ya wanna know why? Because every new draw, leads a new possibility-and here’s one of ‘em!” Haku told Famous. Outside the door from their secret dueling location stood 4 people. One was medium height and wore a tattered hoodie, the guy next to him was short and bald and had a lizard-like look in his face. One of the girls standing there had a camera. She was President of the school paper, and also one of the rudest most evil vile creatures on the face of the earth. She held a camera videotaping the door from the window vantage-point. Haku couldn’t see her there. The last person standing there was another girl. She was yet another girl who despised Haku for his greatness. “Summon, Iceberg. Next I’ll use my Aircrafts greatest ability. Deploy second Vindicator!” Haku shouted as he pulled Robo-Vindicator Goldian from his hand and placed it on the field. “Special summon! Check his primo ability! Armor Merge!” Goldian looked similar to Aqua’s Fighter but with all gold armor and a gold mask. Iceberg was all white and had huge fists as well.

“Now what, ya got three Attack Monsters, but none with a point high enough to hurt my gorilla. Wait, what are you doing?” Famous was surprised when he saw Goldian destroyed and the armor float onto Iceberg.

“Equip spell-Activate,” Haku said as he inserted his spell in the slot. “Vindi-Gloves equip to Aqua’s Fighter. Now my Fighter has 2100 and my Iceberg has 2200. Robo-Vindicator Iceberg, Golden Ice Impact!”

“Not so fast. Reverse card-Mirror Force. Destroy his fake heroes!” Famous yelled, despising the Vindicator cards.

“Cold as Ice! My Iceberg has a chilling ability, you can’t play spell or traps. And now Iceberg defeats your gorilla. You loose 200 points. Next I’ll direct attack with Aqua’s Fighter, you loose 2100 points. Now you only have 1700 points left. Now my Equip spell goes away, and Aqua’s Fighter ‘s ability kicks in, a second battle for him. Attack again!”

“Damn you….. now I….I…I lost.” Famous began to cry. Under his gross retro costume was a just an average 26 year old. WAIT?!? 26?!? How’d He get into Haku’s School?!? Let’s have a cut scene…This will be summed up in aftermath of chapter 1.
