Chapter 5 Bonus:
The secret story of the creation of Robo-Vindicators
A contest was held to see who could build the Robot models the fastest with no instructions. The winner had to be the first one done building 20. Whoever won got to create the new machine deck for the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game. Kazuki Takahashi held the Build-a-card tournament in a factory. The winner of course was Haku Minamori. Instead of making whatever he wanted. He chose to make the 20 models he built into cards. He was given the first set, however months after that the cards were in the 10 cent bin in every hobby shop around the globe. They weren’t very tough. Later that same year they were created, Takahashi-sensei requested Haku’s presence in a meeting. The two of them along with dozens of enthused card-makers helped design 20 spells and traps to make the Robo-Vindicators near invincible. This set was only released to Haku and Takahashi-sensei himself. Without the Spells and Traps to go along with the Vindicators, they are just element-based machines that do little help to any deck. This is why many duelists despise the Robo-Vindicators.
