My Grandmother Has Crossed The Line.

I Was sitting Down, Listening To 'Jeremy' By Pearl Jam,
And My Mother Comes Down.
I Started To Help Her With The Laundry, And She Tells Me The Whole Deal.

Basically, Before My Uncle Charles Moved Here, And Was Arrested,
He Was Dating A Women Named Michelle.
They Divorced, And He Came Here.
Well, Now My Grandmother Wanted To Hook Her Other Son Up With Michelle,
While Charles Was In Jail.

My Mother Found Out About It And Was Very Upset,
Saying It Wasn't Right, And That She Was Going To Slowly Tell Charles About It.
Well, Today My Grandmother Called And Said That She Had Passed A Class To
Have The Right To Marry People, And Had Married Her Son, And Charles' Ex-Girlfriend.
My Mother Said That Was Wrong, And Was Very Upset.
My Grandmother Said That 'A Holy Spirit' Told Her That The Classes My Mother Is Taking To Become A Paramedic Are Driving Our Family Apart.
They're Not.
Then, She Said That Our Family Was Built On Lies, And Deception.
When My Mom Asked What She Meant, She Said 'Oh, I Think You Know'.
She Continued On, Calling Us Terrible, And Such.

I Think She's Trying To Use Religion To Insult Us.
But I Think It's Making Her Look Pathetic, And Frail, And A Little Strange.
I Know She's A Good Woman, But I Don't Like How She Said That To Us.

My Mother Simply Said That She 'Crossed The Line',
And That Now My Grandmother Is Dead To Us.
And Here I Am; Confused, And A Little Shocked.

I Guess It's Just Been A Bit Of A Long Day.
