Collected Ramblings
A Glimpse Into The Daily Runnings Of Your Typical Teenager.
So, For Some Reason, I Felt The Need To Post This.

About Two Years Ago, I Was Unfolding Newspapers For The Kennel-Lining,
When I Still Volunteered At The Humane Society.
I'm Not Sure If It Was Before Or After They Killed Azzi, But I Think It Was After.

I Was Unfolding The Papers, And Piling Them Up, On The Freezers,
When I Stumbled Upon The Obituaries Of Some Month-Old News, Or Something.
Now, I Always Paid Attention To These, Because I Stumbled Upon A Friend's Mother's Obituary Once, And Was Sadly Reminded Of Them. Regardless, Back To The Topic, I Was Browsing Through The Obituaries, And I Noticed This Man's Picture There.

He Had Longish, Graying Hair, Tiny Glasses, And A Genuine Smile On.
I Felt So Oddly Sad, But It Wasn't Only Because Of How Happy He Looked
It Was What He Had Put Into His Obituary. It Said He Was A Family Guy,
And Had Lived A Full Life, You Know, The Typical Stuff That Most Obituaries Have Put Into Them, But Below All The Ordinary-Jazz, It Said He Was A Man Who Enjoyed Junior Mints, And Mountain Dew. I Walked To The Gas Station, That Afternoon, And Bought A Carton Of Junior Mints, And One Of Those Expensive, Tiny Bottles Of Mountain Dew. They Were Divine.

I Also Remember A Guy By The Name Of Josh Dopplestein.
I Was Reading Parts Of The Back-Papers, Because It's Pretty Dull
Unfolding All The Papers. The Only Exciting Part Is Watching The News-Ink Pile Up On Your Hands, Until You Have Smudgy Fingerprints. Regardless, I Saw This Picture Of A Man Who Looked Disturbed. He Had Just Gotten Out Of Iraq. He Was Looking Past A Set Of Uniforms, With His Hair Gelled Down, With The Widest, Most Disturbed Stare I'd Seen In A Long Time. Suddenly, I Felt A Sad Pang Of Regret For My Apathetic-And-Occasionally-Not-Eye-To-Eye Relationship With My Dad.
But, Even Today, We Only Stay Pretty-Chummy.
I Still Regret It; And Occasionally I Still Picture Josh Dopplestein's Sad, Empty Stare, And Sadly Think Of My Father.
