The Room Entered A Eerie, Depressing Lull. This Could Be It, Without A Bassist,
They Couldn't Perform, And No One Was Prepared To Apologize To The Person Who Had So Recently Insulted Them Before Exiting The Room.
Nails Stood Up, 'Hey, I Got An Idea.' Yet Again, All Eyes Were On Nails,
'I've Got A Friend, She's A Decent Bassist. It Might Not Work, But We've Got Nothin' To Lose, Right?' Ricky Was On The Verge Of Panicing, 'Yeah. Give It A Shot.'
Nails Paced Around Waiting For The Phone To Pick Up, 'Heya Jess!'
Nails Strolled Around The Studio, Talking To Their Last Hope.
A Couple Minutes Passed, Nails Folded Up Her Cellphone And Flopped Into A Chair.
That Strange Cliffhanger-Ending Feeling Set In.
Dominick Broke The Silence, 'Did Ya Get Us A Bassist?' Nails Nodded, 'Yeah, She'll Be Here In About An Hour.' Ricky Impatiently Toyed With A Rubberband.
Two Hours, No Bassist.
'What's Takin' Your Friend So Long?'
Just As Soon As Ricky Had Said That, The Door Opened,
'Hey Guys! Sorry, Traffic's Really Bad Tonight.'
She Swept A Bright Yellow Bass-Guitar With A Bumblebee Pattern Off Her Shoulder.
'Hey Jesse!' Nails Greeted Her, 'Guys, This Is Jesse, And She's Our New Bassist.'
Ricky Gave Her A Mock-Salute, 'Neat Guitar, Care To Play Us A Few Notes?'
Jesse Chuckled, It Didn't Seem Like He Was Expecting Too Much, 'Yeah, Sure Thing.' Jesse Adjusted Her Green Shirt, Streached Out Her Arms, And Picked Up Her Guitar.
She Wailed On It, The Room Was Ablaze In Chordes, Fast-Past Strums And Noise. Jesse Took A Seat, Took Off Her Guitar And Looked Back At Ricky She Was Sure She'd Impressed Him,
She Did.
Ricky Sat Wide-Eyed, With His Mouth Agape. 'Wow...'
Nails Clapped, Dominick Nodded In Approval,
Ricky Took A Moment To Clear His Throat, 'I Think We've Got Ourselves A Bassist.'
Nails Stood Up, 'Anyone Got A Problem With Jesse Being Our Bassist?'
