Hello and welcome to another gunpla review! I know that its been awhile since my last entry, but as Christmas seems to be coming right around the corner, I have been very busy getting ready! The good news is, I have some model kits that I've bought for Christmas, so I will be showing them to you after the holidays, as I build them. And I think you'll be very happy with them! smile I will upload a picture of all that I got after Christmas, so look forward to seeing that.
To hold you over until then, I will be doing a review today on my only SD gundam kit, the SD GG Guncannon 1/144 scale. Almost as long as there has been gunpla, there have been SD kits, which stand for Super Deformed, that's right you guessed it, they have chibi gunpla as well! -Thumbs up- There are many different types of SD kits. You have the very old SD kits, that require a little bit more love and care than the new ones, and then you have the GG or G generation kits that were more well known. The new ones are called Ex Standard, and are a little bit taller than normal SD kits, but they look even better than the older ones! They are also more articulated then the GG kits, but I personally just like the design of the GG's more.
Now, for the Guncannon, he may be limited on articulation, due the the chibiness, but believe me that his adorable look will more than make up for it. smile He only comes with his beam rifle, that goes in his right hand, and he does come with his back cannons, as well as the back missiles, but I like having him with the cannons, it makes him look cooler. wink They give you a sticker sheet, that comes with a number of stickers to pep him up, and I think he looks amazing.
They in addition, they also have a line that is from the anime SD Sangokuden Brave Battle Warriors, which is a 50 episode series that are only 12 minutes or so an episode featuring the whole gundam MS universe, but tells the story of The Three Kingdoms, only in a different form. This line seems to come with every single SD version of its counterpart. >.< It's slower paced because its more of a Chinese/Japanese play, but its still great. If you haven't had a chance to watch it, I would definitely give it a go! Overall, these kits aren't too difficult to build, and if you like cute robots, you'll want to try one of these guys. smile Below are the pictures I took of him, as well as a bonus pic with him standing next to the first ever guncannon, and the HG guncannon.
