((After his break out. Seven enjoyed a few days of freedom before being re-captured. he was boxed up and sent off to a mysterious man named Tashi, who had purchased Seven to be his personal pet. This is Seven's first day alone in the house.))
Seven waited in his new cage. It was so nice that it hardly seemed real. He carefully looked at the closet full of cloths. All hanging and waiting to be worn by him. He then crawled onto the futon to paw at the mound of pillows. In the end, he sat by the small table. His tail laid on the ground as he stared at the orchid. Finally the servant came with food for him, and Seven was overwhelmed by his hunger. He pounced on the tray, then shamefully sat back at the gasp of shock that came from the other. Ming sat and watched with a befuddled expression as a pair of wooden sticks were given to him to eat with. He did attempt to use them, though the tips of his claws made it feel terribly awkward. Once the servant left him he abandoned his attempts to use the sticks. Useing just his hands, he happily devoured the strangely made meal. he'd never had anything quiet like it to be honest. He could smell the fish in it, but there was other things too. The green paste that had been included made his mouth burn unpleasently after he licked it, so he left it untouched.
With food in his belly, Seven resumed his exploration. His cage had been throughly explored, so he dared to venture out. He crept along the halls, his tail hung over his shoulders so it would not accidently knock anything over. Any door that he came acrossed that was closed he did not dare attempt to open. Which rather severly limited where he could go. After returning to a hall he had already walked down, Seven found one of the servants at work. he followed the other into a few rooms, and at some point his curious opening of every drawer, cupboard, and box must have gotten on the servants nerves for they suggested rather polietly that he might like to go outside.
It only took a few uncertain moments for Seven to learn the most wonderful of things. His new owners property included Outside as well. In a dash of delight, he exited the building and found himself in what he was sure was perfection. Tree's and bushes and plants and even a lake seemed present! Seven raced across the grass, tail and hair flowing loose and wild behind him as he ran without direction. It was all so beautiful...
When Seven came to the edge of the pond, he halted on a rocky surface decoratively placed along the edge. He peered about, left and right, then gave a excited squeak as he caught the flicker of gold and white in the water. Seven leapt in what he would have liked to have turned into a graceful dive into the water. Fully clothed and with little to no purchase under his feet, he belly flopped into the pool like a fat man into cake. His scaled arms and legs barely stung from the flop, though his face and fleshy torso throbbed with heat. Embaressed, Seven lashed his tail, propelling him under the water for a swim. Happily, he began to give chase to the fish. The wet clothing weighted him down considerably, making it nearly impossible for him to catch any of the koi in the pond. The leaping distressed splashes of the fish must have caught the attention of another servant, for when Seven swam near the edgeof the pond heheard them shouting out at him. Seven lifted his head out of the water and peered curiously at the man. he waved his arms as if he were on fire and shouted words in a language he could not understand. After a moment of these antics, he finally snapped at Seven 'No eat fish!!' Ah! Well Seven understood that.
Feeling sheepish again, he nodded his head and slunk back into the pond. For the next few hours, Seven spent all his effort attempting to calm the fish and explain he was not a big fish come to eat them. He apologized and in time gained the forgiveness of some of the pond dwellers. Mostly the younger smaller ones he noticed, as the bigger ones remained at least two tail lengths from his presence. With peace more or less established in the pond, Seven returned to shore.
The sun was high in the sky now, and his stomach rumbled for more food. Apparently it had occured to some of the servants that it was time for him to eat as well. There seemed to be only one small problem. Mud clung to the hems of his cloths and covered his feed. Some water plants leaves had gotten tangled in his horns and he smelled strongly of the koi pond. One servant attempted to get him to remove his water logged cloths, which led to a brief scuffle. Seven fled the servant and leapt back into the pond in order to save his shirt from being removed. It took some coaxing onbehalf of one servant, and stern threats of being denied a noon meal by another to gethim out of the pond again. Since he refused to remove his cloths, it had been decided to wash him as best they could outside before allowing him back in. Buckets of water were dumped over his head. First cold, then hot after some of the water got into Seven's nose and caused him to sneeze.
Once the mud was washed from him, and the smell of the pond banished to just a faint clinging aroma, Seven was led to a flat rock and instructed to sit in the sun till he dried. In the meantime food was brought out to him. He didn't bother making an attempt to eat with the sticks this time, such was his hunger at this point. He devoured the food given to him, though he wished for more. It tasted so wonderful, and while it abated his hungers edge, he felt a little glutton like desire to continue stuffing himself.
After his lunch, it was deemed that he was dry enough to enter the house again. Though this time he was swept off to the baths by the attending servant. Once again there came the awkward struggle as they tried to remove his shirt for him, and he ended up wrapping his tail around himself to resist them. In the end, the baths were explained to him in detail. How he was meant to sit and scrub himself clean in one tub. Then he would be allowed to soak in another...it was horribly strange! Still...he did as he was told. Seven removed his cloths only when he was alone, then spent a good hour enjoying the tingy feeling of soap against his cales and hair. Scrub scrub scrub! A few of his scales came off, which alarmed him until he examined the spots and was assured it was not some fungus or illness to be blamed.
The soaking tub followed his rinsing. It was nice...but no where near as fun as the pond. He couldn't swim in it, though he did amuse himself by taking moutfuls of water and spitting streams up into the air for a bit. Once he was sure he had soaked enough, Seven crawled out of the tub and towled himself off. At some point and time someone must have snuck into the room where he had left his cloths. For they were gone and replaced by something else fromhis closet. It was a rather brilliant red outfit with blue and gold.... Seven felt it was horribly bright and clashing. He didn't like how it looked against his scales and hair. He felt like one of those overly vivid paintings that he'd seen elsewhere in the house.
Clean again, Seven made a unerring path stright to the doors outside. He was stopped just by the door and warned it was too late for him to go swimming again. He suspected that was not entierly true. It was fine and early enough for him to swim...but probably not with enough time for the servants to clean him up again. So he promised to stay out of the pond.
Once outside, Seven wandered the outside of the house until he found a low part of the roof he could climb to. With a series of leaps, aided by clever push off's with his tail, he managed to get up onto a awning. Seven draped himself as languidly as a feline across the tiled surface. The late day sun felt wonderful on his scales, and the tile had a very pleasent warmth to it. With the events of the delivery, following the joys of exploring his new home all winding to a end. It was understandable when he drifted off to sleep.
Seven awoke to a scratchy thing swipeing at him. His eyes cracked open, sleep dust crusted the corners. Rubbing it away, he peered down to see a older man with a broom. He poked the bristled ends at him once more, then informed him that it was time for him to come inside. Seven glanced up to see the sun touching the earth. The tiles were still pleasently warm under him, but the gurgle in his belly was as strong a compelling motivator for him to get down as the broom. Seven gave a small jump off the awning, and drifted safely to the ground. He was escorted back inside, but then left to his own devices as the man went back to his work.
If Seven could have properly explained how he was feeling, it would have been like a pet cat called inside for the night. He casually draped his tail over his shoulders, then found his way back to his cage. It was almost the same as when he had left it. The pillows had been rearranged again, and he noticed the pretty outfit he had been wearing before was now hung in the closet. Seven walked over to the futon and proceeded to muss up the pillows. he wriggled in amoung them. His tail and body wound through them like a thread through cloth. With his spine a bit more felxible, like a eels, it was easy enough to accomplish. It was shortly after he got comfortable, and began to drift off to sleep, when one of the servants crept into his room. It was a male he had not yet seen that day, and he was carrying a odd paper and pencil. He came over to Seven, then handed the paper and pencil. He pointed to strange blocks of numbers, and asked him to...fill out one circle in every row? With a shake of his head he did as he was asked, though he had no idea what the paper meant, or why he wanted him to pick random numbers. Once the paper was filled out, the man left and Seven laid his head on a pillow to nap until the late meal was brought to him.
