Subjects hair is thicker then typical strands of hair and is a deep purple color. Four budding horns on the top of the head in a silver coloration. Two to the left side and 2 to the right. Tips of the subjects hands and feet taper to fine claw like points. Pink colored eyes.
Believed Genetic Species Base: Flawed Iguana Mutation Actual Genetic Species Base: Eastern Dragon
Notable Genetic Traits: * Subject 7 is capable of 'drifting'. When jumping from a height greater then five feet, his body seems to slow and drifts gently to the floor. This may be a inclination of the potential of flight later. Thus far studies have shown no support as to why subject 7 is able to perform this feat. There are no psionic energies detected, no physical traits to support this 'drifting' skill.
* The scales of subject 7 have a greater durability then seems possible. Needles do no penetrate the scales surface, though a needle can be slipped up under a scale into the flesh beneath. The unscaled portions of the subjects body has no apparent durability greater then a humans. The toughness of the scales can be likened to that of chain mail.
Genetic Flaws: * Subject 7 has ceased to advance in age. While his initial growth was more rapid then anticipated, his aging seems to have come to a dead halt. No manner of treatment has been successful in restarting the process to a more desirable age.
Paranormal Manifestation: * Subject 7 seems to have some form of weather control. It is believed that this power is currently triggered by the emotions of Subject 7. On days when the subject's mood was unexpectedly depressed or dour, cold heavy rainfall would occur out of clear blue skies. In addition, when risen to a state of euphoria a lighter and almost warm rainfall occurred. The range of the rainfall appears to be no larger then a ten mile radius.
* Subject 7 appears to have subtle water manipulation abilities. The forming of small marble sized balls of water is currently the extent of this ability.
When subject 7's project was started, it was with the belief the DNA matter being used was that of a common iguana. A minute particle of scale had been discovered in china, which had made it's way to the lab. The genetic creature formed using the particle was curious in coloration to be sure. It was assumed that perhaps because the particle had been so small, and as a result completely consumed in the generation of subject 7, that a unexpected mutation had occurred. It was not until the third month, when subject 7's physical growth had placed him at nearly double the age of any subject created at the same time as himself, that he appeared to be developing further mutations. The length of his tail nearly matched the length of his body, and four bumps had appeared upon his skull. Within the fourth month, subject 7 had four clear horn growths on his head. He lacked any of the expected iguana traits as well. His expected strictly vegetarian diet had a adverse effect upon him. Until the age of 4 months, subject 7 was often very sickly and weak. By pure chance one of the guards who was supposed to be paroling the cells was eating a tuna-fish sandwich. Subject 7 seemed to display his first, and last, aggressive act. He lunged through the bars, grabbing the sandwich from the guard before he had a chance to respond. In this way it was discovered that subject 7 required fish and aquatic based forms of nourishment. His health drastically improved with the addition of fish from sea or river. Even seaweed and certain forms of water plant life was met with agreeable results. In month 5, due to the subjects approved of state of health, his training began in earnest. The training programs he was placed within were met with stubborn but passive resistance. Subject 7 refused to handle any form of weaponry, be it melee or ranged. Attempts to provoke him into a emotional state of anger was met with a distinctly open minded view of the situation. While attempts to train him in technology has met with minor success, Subject 7 has revealed to have no remarkable skills. Because of his lack of applicable skills, Subject 7 was designated for sale. Listed as a 'Flawed Iguana Mutation' his genetic flaws and paranormal capabilities were outlined for potential buyers. His sale was accepted by a private buyer, but before the transaction could be completed a break out occurred in the facility. Subject 7 was one of many genetic subjects to make their escape.
When the break out occurred, 7 followed the majority of the other genetic subjects up a stairwell. The sound of shots and the scent of blood sent him scampering through the nearest door. Spurred on by fear, he made his way to the nearest window. He couldn't manage to open the locked window, but a few slams of his tail shattered the glass. With the scales on his body protecting him from the glass fragments, 7 crawled out the window and into fresh air for the first time. His clawed hands and feet gripped the siding of the building, aiding him in his leap outwards. He drifted to the ground, then was quick to scamper away. The world outside of the facility was filled with very strange things as far as 7 was concerned. It was beautiful and wonderful. He fled through civilian territory first, uncaring of the gasps and shrieks that came at the sight of him. He smelled water, and he made a bee line for it. When 7 finally reached the source, he was disappointed to a degree. It was dirty. Murky and with trash floating within. 7 crept along the bank, feeling a sadness at the sight of the river. He came to a bridge, a giant construction of stone and metal. It was amazing! He sat and watched the passing of people above, hidden well by some overgrown bushes below. When he grew bored of his watching,he began to explore the underside of the bridge. It seemed almost ideal. It had a cave like feel to it, but it was incomplete. 7 spent some time attempting to find a place under the bridge that seemed comfortable. He managed to clear a corner of a clutter. Leaves, plastic bags, food wrappers were tossed out. Once the 'nest' area was clean enough, 7 entered the river. For a few hours, he attempted to clean it out. He had no reason for why he was compelled to do so...but he did his best. He hauled up discarded shopping carts and tires. He pulled out...he didn't really know what some of the stuff was. It was rusted and covered in soft algae. he dragged them to the waters edge, then spent the final hours of twilight fishing.
What fish he managed to catch had a poisoned and foul taste to them. He ate only out of necessity. Swimming in the river had made him feel ill. Eating the fish made him feel worse. A heavy cold rain began to fall as 7 curled up under the bridge, his tail coiled around him for a very unpleasant nights sleep. He was too exposed. The wind whistled coldly over him. The sound of the cars above kept him from sleeping deeply. Once dawn came, 7 was quick to leave. While he did not like abandoning the river, it was too sick for him to have any effect on. It would just make him sicker until he wasted away. This day, 7 was more careful. it occurred to him that if he let the civilians continue to see him, then he'd be easily tracked. He didn't have any desire to return to his cell now that he had been outside. 7 kept to bushes and empty streets. He sniffed the air, searching for a source of water that would not make him ill. His creeping exploration led him eventually to a water tower atop a tall building. From his vantage point, 7 could see a beautiful view of the city. The wind played nicely in his hair and along his tail. A abandoned aviary was home to numerous pigeons. All of which that fled when 7 began to inspect the small building. The rest of the day was spent cleaning it out. The abandoned eggs made for a good meal, though it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as fish. 7 managed to pile some things up around the aviary until the interior was dark and more cozy. Now the wind would not bother him when he slept. 7 crawled up to the water tower and let himself in. The water inside was...clear. It was clean and cool. It was sadly lifeless though. No fish and no plants. No movement....no life. But it was clean, and swimming around inside the water tower felt good. 7 happily inhaled the water and circled himself around in a endless coil of peace. This place would be good...for now...until he could find a better place near the water to lair along.
