I've recently started RPing with a friend that consists of a world where myth and science exist beneath a layer of ignorant humans. It's all modern based, but with many subtle layers. One layer is the existence of all myths and monsters. Weres, vampires, fairies, and everything else exists in accordance to their own laws. Under that is the government. Performing scientific experiments to create hybrid creatures with powers for their own use. Multiple rouge company's compete to create the most effective species. So far I have a family of humans and 3 scientifically created species. I'm gunna list 2 of them below.
Name Designation: Subject 9
Physical Age: 19 Human Years
Actual Age: 6 years.
Physical Stats: 5ft 9in tall. 180lbs. Stark white skin and hair. Strong human features with a fox like tail and ears. Golden yellow eyes. no fur save on her fox appendages.
Genetic Species Base: Arctic Fox
Notable Genetic Traits:
*Subtle shift in color from white to brown in accordance to the seasons. From June to August Subject 9 has earth toned skin, hair, and fur.
Genetic Flaws:
* Subject 9 has failed to carry over any environmental genetic factors of it's sub species base. The shift of coloration, while curious, is a useless trait.
Paranormal Manifestation:
- Telepathy : Short range mental reach unless a link is established with a subject before they pass out of normal range. Establishing Links for long range communication must be willingly accepted and can be terminated by the other subject at any point once they are outside of 9's initial range. Maximum number of Links that can be monitored seems to be limitless, though the cluster of voices is akin to standing in a crowded room and attempting to listen to all the conversations.
9 was originally a test subject in another facility. However, a raid by a rival corporation 're-appropriated' the arctic fox girl. In essence, she was stolen. 9 Has lived as long as she has due to a submissive nature. She easily accepted her role and place as a tool and has shown no signs of resentment. Due to her submissive nature, it makes her more trustworthy when it comes to monitoring the thoughts of those she is linked with. She is deemed non-dangerous and has received no combat training. When presented with violence, 9 has been trained to merely 'shut down' and follow the orders of her superior officers.
Name Designation: Subject 3.
Physical Age: 15 Human years
Actual Age: 1.5 Years.
Physical Stats: 4ft 2 In tall. 78 lbs. Pale golden brown hair that sticks out in short tufts. Cat ears, gold eyes, cat tail. Completely furred body. Tawny gold with dark brown bands on arms, paler colored bars stripe the body, white chest and face. Whiskers. Fur grows notably longer and fluffier in the winter.
Genetic Species Base: Sand Cat.
Notable Genetic traits:
*Pads of feet lightly furred, allowing for greater endurance when crossing hot surfaces.
*Claws on the hind feet are small and blunt; combined with the fur over the foot pads, this helps to make the animal's tracks obscure and difficult to follow.
* Enhanced sense of hearing in his overly large cat ears. Allows for picking up of vibrations through solid surfaces.
* Can survive in temperatures ranging from −5 °C (23 °F) to 52 °C (126 °F)
* Able to survive for months on the water found in his food alone.
Genetic flaws:
* Does suffer from upper respiratory problems, similar to asthma.
3 has not once been outside the facility that has created him. His entire knowledge of the world is limited to the rooms and hallways of the facility. He has not even peered out a window before. 3 has undergone very strict training measures to ensure he is obedient to a fault. While he has exhibited no abnormal abilities, the successful meshing of his sub species genetic traits makes him the first subject to have gained all the desirable physical attributes of the sub species.
3's primary training was geared towards scouting and spying. Intended to be a stealth operative, it has been undecided if assassinations were to be included in his training. Though it was highly likely that after some trials, if he were to pass them, then that would be the next step.
