"Your darkness is like my darkness"
"Where, where am I?"Rixa opened her eyes and realized she was in an unfamiliar place.It was dark, darker than anything she had ever seen.She was there alone, silence being her only companion.She put her head on her knees, trying to make sense of things.Had Axel really told her the truth, that she wasn't a Nobody?Then what in the world was she?The embodiment of darkness itself?What could it mean?
"I don't want to be alone...It's a lie, that's all."
"No.It's the truth, little one.", an unknown voice whispered, "You are meant to be alone in your domain.They would never understand you."
"Who's there?", she asked, looking around, but not seeing anything, "Who are you?"
"That is unimportant.Now sleep, little one.Sleep...The day shall come when you can wake once again."
"I don't want to sleep!I want to be with Axel!And Roxas...And Xion..."
"They can't understand you.Only I can..."
"Who cares what you think?It doesn't matter to me!I want to be with my friends!"
"Your friends?They aren't your friends.Do you know that the man who controls the Organization only needs Roxas and Xion for his own means?He doesn't care about what happens to them."
"What?He'd never..."
"Axel survived in Castle Oblivion because he completed his mission.He even eliminated one of his own.Xion isn't a Nobody, but a puppet, made by Vexen.Her only purpose in life is to take all that she can from Roxas and recover hearts to complete Kingdom Hearts.As for Roxas, he's just being used."
"Stop it!Just shut up!", she yelled, covering her ears, "SHUT UP!"
"Does the truth hurt, little one?As I said, you were meant to be alone.The darkness has always been feared..."
"No...I don't...want to be alone...not again..."
"Alone, you will stay.I am your only company...Hahaha..."
"NOOOO!"
Everything was ingulfed in darkness and Rixa lost conciousness.The voice kept laughing while everything went black.
"Hey, it's ok...You can wake up."
"I don't want to..."
"Why not?It's far too early to sleep."
"But I...I have to sleep...I'm not meant to be awake..."
"That's a lie.Just open your eyes..."
Rixa regained conciousness, opening her eyes as the voice commanded.She looked around and noticed that the voice belonged to Riku.He was staring at her, holding her in his arms.She buried her face in his chest, starting to cry at the thought of that dark place she had been.
"It's allright, Rixa.Don't cry...What happened to you?I was walking through the forest and you appeared out of nowhere."
"Don't leave me, please!It was so lonely...And Axel, Roxas, Xion...they're gone!"
"Rixa...Xion is...gone.She and Roxas fought each other and he ended up winning.She doesn't exist anymore and she's where she belongs now."
"I don't believe you!Roxas would never do that!"
"Rixa, Xion wasn't a Nobody, just a replica.She and Roxas were being used by the Organization to complete Kingdom Hearts.Can't you understand?"
"What the heck happened???Why is everything crumbling around me?!?!?"
"Rixa..."
She slapped his face, dropping to the floor and spreading her great wings.The feathers fell to the ground, acting as her tears.It was too much for her to take in and Riku knew it.He kneeled down next to her, and lifted her eyes to meet his.He took off his blindfold and looked at her with his blue-green eyes.
"Don't be sad...We all lose things that are dear to us.But we have to remember them as they were.That way, they'll always be in our hearts."
"How?I don't even have a heart, and I'm not a Nobody either..."
"You do have a heart, Rixa.When I first met you, I couldn't sense it.But when I got to know you better, I could feel it inside you.It's so...different."
"Of course it is.I'm the embodiment of darkness.I can't stay here.Darkness just takes away everything!"
"No, it doesn't.It only does that if you let it take over you.Everything has two sides, and darkness is no exception.So don't be sad..."
"Riku, why?Why are you...so nice to me, even though we're supposed to be enemies?"
"It's because you and I are so alike, Rixa.We both have been alone for so long..."
"I...don't want to be alone anymore..."
"Then stay with me...and help me fight the Organization..."
"But Axel...I don't want to fight him."
"Something tells me you won't have to.Now, come on.You're a mess, if you haven't noticed.", he said, lifting her up and wiping her tears away, "We have work to do."
"Ok.", she said, looking into his eyes, "Riku..."
"What's wrong, Rixa?"
She buried her head in his chest again.She felt so warm against him and she loved the feeling.He blushed a little, but felt the same way whenever she got close to him.He lifted her face and slowly, locked his lips with hers.She closed her eyes as he did so, enjoying the moment.He stopped, and turned away, a bit embarrased.
"I'm sorry.I shouldn't have done that..."
"Don't be, Riku.It's allright...", she said, hugging him from behind, "It's allright."
"Rixa, I care about you more than you know.Your darkness is like my darkness."
"Then let's use it against the Organization.For Roxas...for Xion...and Axel...They've caused so much hurt and it's time they pay."
"Heh, now that sounds more like it.", he said, smiling at her, "But first, there's something I have to do."
"What is it?"
"I have to fight Roxas...It's inevitable, Rixa.I'm sorry, but I have to do it."
"Then...please, don't hurt him.He's still my friend..."
"I won't, Rixa.But I warn you, I might not come back."
"I won't let anything happen to you, Riku."
She grabbed his hand and put it against her cheek.He smiled and kissed her forehead.He couldn't tell her that he was planning to unleash the darkness inside of him if things got difficult.The confrontation was something he had to do.DiZ had told him otherwise.Roxas could be dangerous if he was ignored.Xion's loss had made him not only leave the Organization, but given him the idea of actually going to Kingdom Hearts.He had to be stopped.
