The Truth
Rixa was excited when she woke up.Today felt different for some reason and she couldn't wait to meet up with the group.She got out of bed and stretched out her arms as far as she could.
Today's gonna be a good day, she thought as she walked to her door.She opened it and began to run down the hallway.She almost slammed into Xaldin, who glared at her, but she ignored his stare and continued on her way.Once she got there, she saw Axel talking with Xion and Roxas.She waved at them, hoping to get a hello.Axel turned to face her, but seemed to be disturbed.
"Where we going today, guys?Clock Tower like always?"
"Yep.It's another day to relax and do nothing.The missions have been lacking lately.", Roxas said.
The three headed to the Clock Tower, eating ice cream and laughing like they used to.Axel though, was quiet, barely speaking while the other three laughed.The discovery of Rixa's true self had shocked him more than he thought it would.It just can't be!Not her...
"Hey, Axel, you're too quiet today.", Roxas said, "Something on your mind?"
"Oh, sorry.I was uh...thinking about something.Pay me no mind.", he said, trying to appear happy, "I'm just a bit tired."
"Tired, smired, Axel.We came here to relax and that's what we're gonna do!", Rixa yelled, kicking him in the back, "Don't be a sourpuss!"
"Oww!Why you!", he yelled, grabbing Rixa and giving her a noogie, "Who said you could kick me?"
"I did!Now let me go!", she yelled, trying to break free.
"Roxas, let's just leave them be.", Xion whispered, a little worried at how it was going, "Someone could get hurt..."
Roxas and Xion left them alone, making their own conversation.Axel listened to them leave, then let go of Rixa.He sat down and looked at the sky, leaving Rixa perplexed at his behavior.
"Axel, what's going on?This isn't like you..."
"Rixa, it's nothing..."
"Don't lie to me!Something's wrong with you.I can tell."
"I can't tell you, Rixa.It's personal."
"Tell me!I don't like it when people keep secrets from me..."
"Rixa, it's best if you didn't know..."
"Tell me or I'll be forced to make you tell me!"
Axel could see the angry look in her eyes and he struggled with himself.He could keep it a secret from her, or he could tell her the truth about herself that she's been trying to find.He didn't want to do it, but he forced himself to speak.
"Rixa, the truth is...I know what you really are.You're not a Nobody."
"Say what?What are you talking about?"
"Rixa, you're not like us, yet like us at the same time.You're...."
"I'm what?"
"Xemnas and Saix are interested in you because you, Rixa, are the very heart of darkness.You are the embodiment of darkness itself."
"That, that can't be!It's a lie!", she cried, dropping to the floor and covering her ears, "It's just a lie!!!"
"Rixa, it's the truth...I'm sorry..."
Rixa wouldn't listen, but inside her, the same power that she controlled began to stir.A great pair of black wings spurted from her back as her eyes turned red.She gave one final look at Axel, then opened a portal and flew away.Axel tried to go after her, but a barrier prevented him from reaching her.
"Rixa, I'm sorry..."
