Random stuff Katie decides to post =)
Hmmmmmmmmm
Lol I should probably be doing homework right now but I'd rather not and just do something else like discuss how I related to this book I finished reading today. I have been WAY into reading lately... I guess I missed how much fun a good and relatable book is like after being forced to read historical nonfiction and shakespeare =P

Anyway, this book is called I Can't Tell You. No really, I can't, how could I possibly tell you? I can't speak to you. LOL yeah if you laughed or even smiled at that then you'll get the humor of the book. It's got a ton of sarcasm and puns but the story is one I related to because I've been in situations like JJ's and also Xandra (or Xandy, as JJ calls her about mid-book). I won't tell you about the end but I will tell you a little about the book (Yeah, and by you I mean the journal because no one ever reads this... -sigh-). Ok as the book starts, you find out JJ isn't talking because he got in a HUGE fight with his best friend Sean but you don't find out why until a bit later. The first person Jacob Jacobsen (I think that's how it's spelled) writes to is this girl called Xandra (short for Alexandra) because that's the only way he can communicate without screwing things up (or so he thinks...) but you immediately catch that he has a HUGE crush on her and it grows even stronger as the book progresses and sometimes the moment/mood is so good that you expect JJ to break his silence by just blurting out the truth that he loves Xandra... anyway... it also deals with disfunctional family relationships and college life. If that sounds interesting, you really should go pick it up / check it out of the library because if you've ever been in the same boat as Jacob, as I am pretty sure almost everyone has, where you're afraid to tell the person you like how you feel, especially if they're a good friend and all the what ifs keep running through your mind. Another thing you should be good at before considering this book is, Ru good at interpreting abbr. + chatspeak + noticing patterns that = kinda complicated ^^ b/c if you aren't then you might not understand a thing. You also need to be ok with not knowing what's going on for a few pages or two because even though Jacob is taking a vow of silence, he's pretty much the only one doing it full time. Anyway, I hope you like it if you do decide to give it a shot. Happy reading! biggrin

Lol there's a good way to waste a half an hour I could have used doing homework... lol! rofl gonk
