Tuesday
Contrary to what I once thought, I have gotten back into Gaia. To what degree I don’t yet know, but hopefully I’ll be able to limit myself to more humane hours-- especially when school returns in about three weeks (I think).
I woke at 1PM this afternoon, spent the next six hours doing whatnot on my PC and at 7PM watched an hour of the Simpsons. It was those two episodes where Homer remembers the time he found a dead body in the quarry, and where Homer breaks his knee and decides to run a childcare centre.
My meerkat story just didn’t want to be written today, so I tried my hand at the Mufasa fanfic. I managed to get myself into that automatic writing state of mind zone thing, ended the chapter at 2500 words and posted it. My first review came a few minutes later, but it was from King Simba so it didn’t really count.
He uses punctuation now and tries to be literate, but the reviews he gives these days aren’t so far from the one-liners he used to deal, in that it’s just blind praise. God, I wish someone would actually critique me.
They seem to like the story I wrote on Kamunyak a lot better than they like this one. I can sort of see where they’re coming from, and I’d agree with them if I liked my old writing style better. Looking back, it’s just too clunky and run-on for my liking. Thank God for Eol though, or it’d be a hundred times worse.
The weatherman says it’ll be overcast tomorrow. I’d rather overcast than plus-thirty-degree heat.
