There is something hidden in her eyes
A secret feeling she disguises with lies
And her smile tells that story to everyone
"I'm alright", but inside she's coming undone

She cries when she's alone
She wanders around looking for a home
The one she left was hardly one at all
No one helped her up, they just made her fall

She's heard that love exists
And that she believes
But something inside her resists
Because everything she loves, leaves

With nowhere to go
No place to belong
She lays in the snow
And sings this song

I hope you can hear

Because I'm so full of fear

She drifts off to sleep
And in her dreams
