I’m scared to tell you
Though the worst you could say is no.
It’s the thing that I fear most,
Letting you go

I’ve known you so long
I don’t want to imagine how terrified I’d be
If you were to leave,
Could I still breathe?

I will hide this feeling
With all of my being
Denying every accusation
The evidence isn’t proof

If you can see past the mask I drew
Please tell me nicely that my dreams won’t all come true
Because maybe then,
It won’t crush me so hard

My throat is tightening
Mouth is dry, tears stream
Gasping that sentence,
I’m trying to scream

Another unspoken word to kill my soul
And when I’m finally dead you’ll know
Those words I couldn’t say caused my death
“I’ve loved you forever" So I died alone
