Well, I have just been looking over this thread that was debading whether or not christianity was a sin. Well not christianity exactly since there are many sects of this religion but worshiping Jesus the so-called son of God and worshiping him dying on the cross.
The creater of the thread felt that getting the christians of the world to worship Jesus would be a great trick to pull because God says in the ten commandments to worship no other God but him. Also it says nowhere in the bible that Jesus is God and even if he is the son of God but he is not GOD. And she thought that " worshiping God's son dying seems satanic".
I myself have no religion right now because, personally, all the religions completely confuse me. I go to a catholic school and a budhist church and I don't completely get either. But I will give my two cents on this. Sadly I have the time.
Just because it doesn't say in the bible that Jesus isn't God doesn't mean he isn't. Being a christian technically entitles you to worship things that you can't see including God who we have never seen before but don't we still believe in him?
But also, to contradict what I just said, satan could just guess what I just said and take for granted that we would believe in one more thing that we don't see since we fell for everything else. It gives him a great chance to trick us to going down with him and wouldn't that be great to think you're doing something good that could get you into heaven (jesus said through him you can get to God) and you end up being one of old Lucifers prisoners?
But that's just the risk you take I guess and to question God's word is not bad. It's just like asking your teachers questions about things you don't understand. It's to get meaning out what you don't clearly get.
but still...christianity confuses me. sweatdrop
