• I'm working towards a point here, so bare with me.

If you don't have an open mind towards music, how can you lead an open mind in life?
If you don't have an open mind towards life, how can you expect to have nothing but a narrow future?
If you have a narrow future, how can you expect to be happy?
("YOU DIDNT GO TO COLLEGE BECAUSE MONEY, NO MONEY NO JOB, NO JOB 'CAUSE OF NO COLLEGE" <--- Sorry, I know the circle template is an annoyance.) ANYWAY.

It is very troubling to recommend music to someone. We, as humans, are insecure and defensive; How could someone even attempt to understand my taste in something as intimate as music? I'm so unique, I'm so different... Don't you dare assume that we are similar enough to enjoy the same band. (Generally speaking, sarcasm). When we are propositioned with a new band, or a movie, etc, we automatically assume we are going to hate it simply because that puts our unique-ness in question, that puts our self-identity in question. That defensive tactic is rooted into our subconscious.

(Clearly, as we grow older most of us understand and acknowledge trust, likeness and notoriety with those we know and to whom we share a bond with. Those feelings, for the most part, subdue our doubtful subconscious.)

MY POINT: HERE IT IS FINALLY.
Our subconscious is the root, to a certain sect of good and evil. It generates our sense of entitlement, purpose, importance and superiority. (feelings that cause war, oppression, hatred, jealousy...) Although there is a myriad of contributing factors to those senses that lay outside our subconscious I believe it would be beneficial to spend some quality time wrestling with the question(s). What do I deserve, and why?
