my life has been very tough
and the road really rough.
but all is right here standing alone tonight
and i play it cool and dig all jive thats the reason i stay alive.

here i stand alone
as i utter a silent moan
on top of this mountain
the words come out just like a flowing fountain

i wish with all my heart
that i could have a fresh new start
but this is all a dream, a beautiful dream
and i guess its my brand new theme
as i play it cool
and dig all jive
thats the reason i stay ALIVE!
