• The words in her mind,
    Spell the end of this,
They mean no more of him,
    No more of her drug.

Tongue tied tight by her thoughts,
    Thoughts kept in her tongue,
    No love to be said,
    No friendship shall end.

    The empty cavity,
    Beats a slow rhythm,
    Of months of thoughts,
Of false light in the dark.

    The thoughts plague,
    After the light burned out,
    Thoughts still linger,
And make the dark so much worse.

    Why the light burned out,
    Is a mystery to all,
    Curled tight in a ball,
    Is the girl left alone.

She has to face the dark by herself,
The light-less world of her nightmares,
But now even the light is part of the nightmares,
In the land that was once her dreams.
