My head is on a cloud
My face dawns a mask-like shroud
I feel as if I'm in a race
My heart beats at a fast pace
thump thump
My sight is a blur
The reason I cannot concur
Tears stain my cheeks
My anger at its peak
Every individual hair on my head is in messes
Hardly their once proud tresses
I have run far, and my legs are sore
I glared at the once mighty symbol I bore
It was still engraved in my forearm
It truly didn't mean me any harm,
But then the savages saw it
Now they wanted to grind my bone to grit
They knew me as a monster
No they did not give me a chance, sir
They meant to hand me a punishment
One that will make me repent
Though I have done nothing wrong
No list of what I've done bad is long
I was just practicing my duty as a witch,
But all they saw is some horrid lady they wanted to throw in a ditch
They shan't
Because they can't
Not with my power
They will cower
A growl comes from my frustrated lips
My back arched like the bottom of a ship
I still had radiant beauty
Now was the time to fulfill my witch duty
My hair flares about me
They'll all pay, just wait and see.

- Description: I was thinking of the Salem witch trials. This poem struck me at once. And when poems come to you they demand to be written! Hope you like this one.
