Jumping at every little sound
Venturing down dark alleys with paranoia abound
Nothing you can do but twitch from the tension that’s been longstanding
Being handed a cup of regurgitated caffeine
Surrounded by terrors unseen as they creep among shadows
Walking this path everyday unable to shake stalking eyes
Their occupation on your life cemented
They’re steadfast on a campaign of insanity
And it will be delivered many times over
Keeping you from deciphering reality
Leaving you questioning every offer of kindness
Forcing you to succumb from the blindness that has crippled you
There’s not much you can do to find the light
The night so thick that it seems endless
Rendering you defenceless, hopeless, and ready to fade into a void
As you attempt to rise, accusations and lies of supposed crimes you committed cloud you
Choking your senses, feeling as your throat is closing
Tightening its grip with every attempt you make to break away
Attempting to breathe ever so difficult
Allowing the thought of dying greatly accepted
Though fighting to stay together
Never able to be assured that the darkness is finally behind you
