• i passed the neighbors house, stomping through the water that was rushing down the road.
where was that stupid mut! she should have been home a few hours ago! i pased down to the intersection of the highway, glanceing left and right, then turned around.
What was the luck? She's probley miles away by now.
What did she not like about our family? We treated her like royaltie! and for her to just run away last night was weird! How was she going to live if i dont feed her, where is she going to sleep?
but i could not stay out here all night. There was a terrible storm comeing from the west.
    Fast.
Would she be safe? i started toward my house, flicking water around with my boot.
" WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT THERE!!" i glanced toward the house, like usual, my mother stood with her head poked out the side of the door, a fist in the air, screaming her lungs out.
"Looking for sasha, something you should be doing." i whispeared, knowing if she would have heard me, i would be grounded for a while.
" GET IN HERE,YOU'LL CATCH A COLD!" i turned toward the house, balanceing my emotions as i grazed passed my mum.
" You didnt see her, did you?" She asked, proceeding into the kitchen.
'if i did, would i be here with out a dog?'
but i shook my head, leting the water from my hair drip onto the kitchen tile.
" aw, well we might have better luck tommorrow." she smiled, pouring a glass of hot chocolate into a cup and handing it to me.
"Mum, why do you think sasha ran away?" i asked, sipping a tiny bit of my coco, as i whatched my mom clean off the conter.
" I wouldent count it as 'running away' i would count it as a brake....a little vacation for her.
she's never got a vacation like us, so now she decided she wanted one!" my mum smiled, glanceing toward the back door, and i knew she was hopeing it would pop open right then and sasha would be right there.
but that was childish, she wasnt comeing back any time soon.
" ok, time for bed, we will get up urley tommorrow to look for her... and dont worry, shes ok."
she said, walking out of the kitchen.
'of course she is...' i jumped off my seat and poured the rest of the hot chocolate down the drain.
'hope your okay, sasha.' i gathered myself and walked into my room, pullling back my sheets, i glanced up toward the ceileing, like it was the open sky.
" God, keep sasha safe tonight, so we can take her in tommorrow morning."
i glanced down and pulled my sheets up over my head, slipping into a deep sleep.

    *next day*
i jumped out of bed, pulled on my clothes and ran out of my room.
"Were going to find her! i can feel it." i smiled, running into my mum who was pulling on her coat.
" Lets go, Your sister is already in the car." she said, pulling me toward the front door. where i jumped into our car.
Kayla looked toward me, then back out the door, and smirked, grabbing her school bag.
" Thanks, mum" she said when mum handed her, her backpack.
mum was soon backing out of the drive, my skin was on edge, feeling the intense air, that was grabbing at us.
we searched the whole subdavision, before my mom whispeared, " shes been on the highway."
we turned the car around and headed toward the highway, when we turned right on the highway, the first tihng i heard was my sisters blood chilling scream, and the screetch of the car wheels, as my mom pulled into the grass, and laid her head on the steering wheel.
" Whats wrong?" i pulled my head up to look over the dashboard, when the next scream came from me.
There, on the ground, lay my dog, her stomach pushed down like it got ran over, blood on the grass, the dog dead as dead could be.
the tears running down my checks told me she's gone.
Still to this day me and my family miss sasha, she was our first dog we had together, and with sasha gone, the memories didnt feel as happy as they were, they all fell and crashed, gone foreever, just like sasha.
