• “In the Event of an Outbreak”

FromDoyleWithLoveI woke up like it was any other normal day, just another boring day. I was so occupied with my daily routine that I failed to notice that the roads were deserted. And not even then “It’s a national holiday” deserted. I mean the “Something’s wrong deserted.” I walked to school, oblivious to my surroundings, even feeling a bit happy that there were no cars and I could cross the street with no problem. I arrived at school and this was when I started to notice. The school was likewise, deserted. I looked in every classroom of the building but not a single soul anywhere. I looked over to the track and field from the second floor balcony and saw a single figure, walking uncomfortably, as if it was having trouble controlling its legs. I began to wave to it but as the wind blew my way; it carried the stench, the stench of rotting corpses, right into my nostrils. It was at this point that I finally understood. It has begun.
